My brother was born with a mitochondrial dysfunction. It affected his heart; he had hypertropic cardiomyopathy. He has had stamina issues his entire life. He has always gotten tired walking distances that normal people would have no problem doing. In the past, though, it was manageable provided that he took a break. Long story short, all of a sudden in April 2021 he got heart failure out of nowhere. His ejection fraction was only 5%(measurement of of blood leaving heart with each contraction)at one point. Long story short, he ended up having to get a heart transplant in June 2021. He has recovered somewhat, but he has nowhere near the even limited stamina that he had before. He was in a hospital bed from May 2021 to August 2021, but it has been a year and a half since then. It depresses me, because its at a point where he can only leave the house to go very short distances. Hes only 30 years old and transplanted organs only last about 10-20 years depending on the person before he would need a second one(assuming nothing worse happens to him before then), and the anti rejection drugs wreak havoc on the body. Im always worried about him. I wish there was something out there that would help with his stamina at least. He already takes some of the things mentioned in the video.

I take almost all the exact same things! Some I take in powder form so there's less to swallow. I have also started to get big into exercise and it has helped heaps. I noticed a difference in just a few weeks. Thanks for sharing! All the best

Have you ever heard of spectrum needs ? It basically combines all of these things you're taking into a single powder to try and make it to where you're not taking so many things . I use it I put it into my feeding tube formula. I just started it 3 weeks ago I do however take extra CoQ10 . I've been very sick for 10 years but in May I went and saw a amazing geneticist and he put me on the spectrum needs . It was a relief that we didnt have to buy all these supplements separately . Just a thought :)

Thank you so so much! I actually have talked about this with my genetic doctor and because the daily amount I take is 3-5x more then what is in spectrum needs. It unfortunately wouldn't be financially feasible. Thank you again I really appreciate the suggestion!

Great video. You should try adding B1 in high dose, liquid magnesium malate and full spectrum vitamin E. Alpha lipoic acid really needs to be in the R form and not S form, the S form which most companies bag out is a synthetic version, the R form is way more superior. Keep up your great vidoes. Good health

You are very couragious to share your condition on YT. May the Almighty strengthen and protect you. From a biochemical point of view most of what you show here is spot on like Lipoic acid, Magnesium, B1 and 2. The Q10 should be "Ubiquinol" (best from "kaneka" ) not Ubiquinone which is much weaker. Most of natural aging is also sort of a "mitochondrial disease". Thus many medications that are upcoming in these days could be useful especially for the fatigue part of it. I have tried (for antiaging) with good success: Taurine and Arginine/alphaketoglutarate. But the real gamechanger was NMN sublingual which is the direct precursor to the central molecule NAD+. ( "renuebyscience" is top - many others don´t hold their promise).

Make sure you take organic WHOLE-FOOD Vitamin C. Ascorbic acid is like an empty shell of Vitamin C... missing the whole, balanced C. This can have further cell disfunctioning. I don’t have the research notes handy but remember something that involves copper, which is needed for metabolizing iron correctly (lest it sit and rust...anywhere). Think of white table salt stripped of the rest of the nutrients compared to balanced REAL Salt or Himalayan or sea salt.

It’s very encouraging and nice to see this wisdom in someone as young as yourself. You’re spot on about supplementation working best when personalised to specific needs. I have drug induced psychosis N-Acetyl-Cysteine, Lithium Orotate, Glycine and a few other things brought it down to asymptotic. These supplements saved my life perhaps quite literally as I have had suicidal ideation and been in a psych a few times, now I’m doing very well. Likewise it looks you’ve got your mito condition under control enabling you to live your best life. You have an uplifting story thanks for sharing.

Even bowel movements (sorry tmi) would make me so incredibly tired. Eating would make me feel great for a couple of minutes and again, a sudden energy drain would occur. I took coq10 and no joke, started to feel so much better. Im able to feel “back to normal”. Im going to buy the ALA as my preworkout already has l carnitine in it. People would notice me yawning so much and it is less now! Thank you so so so so much

How can one get tested for Mitochondria disease or anything related to loss of energy (cellular issues)?
@TheMitoWarrior
@TheMitoWarrior 3 жыл бұрын
There are two ways to get tested. The first is through a muscle biopsy. Which is the most invasive. The second is through genetic testing. Depending on the company you either send in a saliva sample or a swab from your mouth. Both kinds of tests have to be ordered by a doctor! I got genetic testing which confirmed my diagnosis years ago. Let me know if you have any more questions!

I have a very mild form of mitochondrial myopathy.. Can anyone recommend what I Should take?
@TheMitoWarrior
@TheMitoWarrior 3 жыл бұрын
I highly recommend CoQ10 and L-Carnitine. Both are over the counter and easily found in pill or liquid form. L-Carnitine is the type of supplement that is more internal. Meaning you might not physically feel better taking it, however that does not mean it is not working and helping internally. CoQ10 is one you may feel more energized after taking. But it can take a while to feel that possible increase in energy. With both you have to be consistent and take everyday and I recommend taking both with food just to be safe. Vitamin C is also a good one, as is Vitamin B vitamins as well. Here's a link for more info! www.mitoaction.org/diagnosis/mito-cocktail-coq-10/
