Also, at the beginning of the fight Overhaul called Mirio school boy at the end he called him Lemilion! I guess Chisaki respects Mirio enough to call him by his hero name

That attack of Mirio was actually called Phatom Menace in the manga, but they had to change it to Phantom Threat for obvious copyright reasons. On that note, Kohei, the creator of My Hero Academia, is a huge fan of Star Wars.

To save a one million you gotta start at one. MHA is all about asking and trying to answer the question, what is a hero? Way back in episode 1, Izuku asks if he can become a hero without a quirk. I'd say Horikoshi gives us the answer here with Mirio. By all accounts he should've been killed by Overhaul but with his sheer will, training and courage he manages to hold his own all to save one life. That is why Mirio is my favourite character.

So I'll confess, when I started My Hero I loved it, but I did dislike the belief that to be a hero one needed a quirk, that Deku was lesser because he only had the will and enthusiasm (and the big ass brain). So when the ep Lemillion happens, it's some validation, Mirio fought quirkless against a guy who could blow him to bits with a touch and got some hits in and did his job as a hero, no quirk, just willpower. The truest of heroes

dannybob42 honestly I can see why the belief of needing a quirk to be a hero is a thing because if you look at Mirio vs Overhaul, if Mirio had his quirk he would have won, but without it he would have died eventually. In the end he would have been known as the quirkless guy who died showing society that you need a quirk to more or less survive and be an actual hero.

@@Preranaroy1 SPOILER WARNING (just to be safe lol). I'd recommend watching it cuz it would be so much more emotional. . . . . . . . So basically Sir Nighteye and Deku join the fight and Sir Nighteye ends up getting impaled real bad with Chisaki's quirk. This injury ends up being fatal, so people from the Nighteye agency plus All Might spend time with him during his last moments. Mirio got injured pretty badly, so the nurses try to hold him back from putting too much strain on his body, but he goes to visit Nighteye anyways (they're all being treated in the same hospital). The two talk and Nighteye uses his quirk one last time on Mirio and tells him that he will become a great hero. Then Nighteye tells either Mirio or everybody in the room (I can't remember lol) to keep smiling cuz without joy and happiness in the world there will be no "bright future". The episode is also title "Bright Future" btw

@@Preranaroy1 okay, since you asked for it: S4 SPOILERS sir nighteye is fatally injured fighting overhaul, who is then beat by Deku at 100% power with the help of Eri's quirk that rewinds his body evreytime he destroys it with 100% attacks. nighteye dies in the hospital with allmight, deku, and mirio by his side. right before he finally passes though, nighteye uses his quirk to read mirio's future. smiling, he says mirio will become a fine hero, and this is the only future that shouldnt be changed. he tells the 3 of them to keep smiling and laughing, bc a world without laughter has no bright future. the arc ends with his heartrate flatlining, all might deku and mirio crying, and the chapter title, "bright future".

Then after Deku realizes that Chisaki outmatches him (cuz lets be honest, in a one on one with Overhaul without the help of Eri, things don't look so good for Deku), Mirio phases through the wall and comes to save the day, even if he ends up losing his quirk anyway.

When talking about going through something more intense then the "sloshed" quirk. I always saw that as why Sir nighteye has them do the tickle training, like you see him use on Bubble girl. If you remember Miss Joke, laughing is one of the most debilitating abilities. So if you can react properly when laughing uncontrollably, any other debilitating effects will hopefully be reduced, which it was.

@@relic5752 Well yes and no. He only gets disoriented under certain circumstances with his power, especially now. Normally activating an area that deals with sight or sound (ears and eyes) is what you're referring to. If he goes under ground as well yes, he doesn't see or feel anything there and comes out of the ground awkwardly, but very much in his control. You can clearly see in this episode he controls his power near flawlessly. He controls his disorientation with his power, compared to say tickle training, which he would have literally 0 control on. So it helps explain that awkward as hell tickle machine and dealing with disorientation out of his control. Like I said you aren't wrong but I don't think that is what he is referring to with that line. Happy watching :)

But the reason more characters don't use guns is likely due to the gun laws in place in Japan where the only characters you've seen have a gun have almost definitely gotten them illegally except for the police and Snipe who's equipment would be managed by the government. Iirc current laws in Japan are so stringent police officers who use guns even in training have to keep track of every bullet they use and there's an issue if even one is unaccounted for, not to mention it's almost impossible for a civilian to own a gun.

The animation hasn't been particularly stellar at this point of the season, so they're used to it. I don't think it obviously paid off, they didn't react in that scene like they did when Deku showed up, which is a scene that paid of having after the credits by looking at their reaction. I personally didn't mind for the slideshow but I don't think it was well illustrated how long exactly he fought for, just that he fought for a bit longer. Reason why every comment ever in this episode mentions it.

Well, that creative choice was for budget reasons, they threw all that money to the Chisaki vs Deku and the Endeavor fight at the end of the season. But they still manage to do something pretty great, considering that in the manga that part is just literally a sentence on a black panel, they nailed it.

Yeah, as a manga reader, I appreciated the fight. It's a difficult fight to portray because it was still a losing fight. If it had gone on, Mirio would've eventually been killed because of Chisaki targetting Eri. I think the reason Toga and Twice didn't say that Shigaraki ordered them to betray the Yakuza is that the Yakuza guys didn't understand how the League of Villains operates. In the Yakuza, you are given orders and are expected to follow them. In the League of Villains, they tend to just do what they want. Shigaraki tells both of them that if the yakuza wanted him he would join them to screw them over. But they don't want him. So Toga and Twice joined up with the Yakuza and with no orders to betray them but the knowledge that Shgaraki wouldn't care if they did. So like Chris said, They asked the wrong question.

Remember last episode Chisaki tried to convince Shigiraki to position his people like chess pieces tactically. But here we see how Chisaki treats them as expendable. But we also see how dangerous Toga and Twice are at dismantling other organisations if Shigaraki starts to understand his ability to respect and understand his fellow villains wants and needs and help them achieve it.

Wolf the Legend i really enjoyed it the first time as well, but after taking a look at it, especially in this episode, there were a lot of still frames with those lines at the edge of the screen to make it look more impactful, but it was a lot like a powerpoint presentation of images, instead of actual fluid animation and moving parts
