Fun fact about the order of the exams, actually. In the manga, all 10 exams happened at the same time, exactly because it would be unfair to the students going first if they happened one after another (that's also why each one is in a different arena). They changed it for the anime to make the narrative easier to follow. And yeah, the objective of the exams is to challenge the students and to educate them, not necessarily for the Pro Heroes to go all out on them. Present Mic could probably have just screamed so loud that the students would fall unconscious, and Nezu didn't have to leave a viable path to the exit open like he did. All Might, being a newbie to teaching, is the only one who doesn't really get that idea and just goes balls to the wall lol.

I liked the way they handled it because it showed the way other students reacted to their classmates fighting against the real deal and test their limits, and at the same time showed just what they need to work on between themselves, plus it gave Midoriya a reason to have his usual analysis antics

I love how Aizawa is the one who narrates and explains Present Mic’s quirk and Jiro’s reaction to Koda talking is funny. Uraraka’s reaction is adorable. Nezu’s crazy laugh is also brilliant. eric, if the pro heroes went all out on the students, they would have crushed them immediately. nezu could have knocked a building over on them at the moment the bell rang, eraser could have knocked todoroki unconscious the moment they encountered him like he did all the villains at the USJ. the point is for this to be a test where they learn something, not to bully a bunch of kids.

yeah, and if I am not mistaken Aizawa did say in season 3 that they all kept some way for the students to win so they could pass, like you said Aizawa not ko ing todoroki, the principal letting one escape path for those two. He even said that if they didn't most would have lost almost immediatelly.

TheVideomasterg i think the only ones who wouldn't have lost instantly are tsu and tokoyami, purely because ectoplasm seems to have fairly limited ranged options and those two are quick. meaning he would just have to corner them in a narrow hallway instead of crushing them the moment they encountered him.

yeah nezu would have just crushed them with a building, cementos would have just needed to keep burrying them into the ground, even if they could break through they would run out of air pretty fast, midnight would just need to hide near the gate while using her sleeping gas/mist to hide and strike them, evn if they used sero's tape they would eventually need to breathe, snipe could have shot their legs the moment it started, allmight could have killed deku and bakugou if tried harder to be honest. 13 as well if they (still don't know if they are a man or a woman) hadn't stop using black hole. the other one that maybe would have taken more time, could have been momo and todoroki, assuming that she didn't have confidence issues, after all aizawa can stop their quirks but he can't stop what she has already created.

I find it kinda funny how they pit the students against teachers with such lethal quirks. A dude with a freaking gun, but he doesn't shoot them, and a guy who dissolves shit. Neither of them can use their quirks to their full extent, and thus are easily defeated.

keep in mind that All For One is an emission of power, so its All Might's normal brawn that is feeling the weight, he basically releases energy to do other stuff. So his power is unaffected but he constantly feels the weight like a normal person which I guess lowers his concentration and how he can use his power.

Justsomeone Random true, but that doesn't slow someone like nezu down, nor does it affect snipe, midnight or 13 much. the weights will slow them in close range and dull their reflexes a bit, but if aizawa wanted to take todoroki and yaoyorozu out, those weights wouldn't present an obstacle to him, since he can still do 30 foot jumps with them on.

Nezu is the only known animal with a quirk, if I'm not mistaken (hence why he was experimented on)... all other animal-looking people we've seen were just humans with heteromorphic quirks.

To answer some questions. The heroes weren't going all out, even with the weights. Some people with body-altering quirks have kids with similar mutations that isn't their actual quirk, like how Mina has horns even though that has nothing to do with acid. So yeah Koji just has a different body form because of his family's quirks. And Nezu is unique, he's an animal that was experimented on to have a quirk, but animals don't get quirks naturally since it's based on human evolution. So anyone with an animal-based quirk like Tsuyu or the police chief is a human with animal qualities, unlike Nezu who is an animal with human qualities.

Regarding Uraraka's and Aoyama's exam; Thirteen can probably adjust the strength of her black hole vortex, so if the kids just ran up to her, she would reduce the power so as to not kill them, but still make it powerful enough to maybe suck out the air and make them fall unconscious, or just toss them around a little until time ran out. The reason they were able to beat her is because Uraraka let go of the railing unexpectedly, and the force of Thirteen's quirk caused her to be shot towards her very quickly. As a result, Thirteen didn't have time to adjust her quirk's power or direction, so her only option was to shut it off quickly so as not to accidentally kill a student. It's a bit of a dirty trick that basically relies on the fact that the teachers can't straight up kill them, but at the same time they were smartly playing to Thirteen's weakness, since she's not a combat hero and has no way to handle an opponent who gets past her quirk and comes too close to her.

By the way, Hagakure is not naked, her hero costume just allows her to use her quirk with it. She weras the gloves so her teammates can tell where she is. Basically when she's invisible she's only barefoot and without gloves.

To be fair the pros aren't going all out at all. They are purposely standing in the open to present a target on themselves, because the younger heroes have to find a way to escape the area they are in within a certain time. Think about it, someone like Midnight I don't think would stand in the open otherwise. Her quirk would be more of an assassin or covert type of situation. They are placing real handicaps on themselves. The students aren't winning outright.

You probably won’t see this because I’m coming so after the fact, but when they say spud doesn’t travel well through the ground, what they really mean is that sound doesn’t transfer into the ground very well. A sound wave travels faster in certain states of mater, solids>liquids>gases, but switching between substances with different resonances causes sound to weaken. It’s why soundproofing will have several layers material of different material pressed together.

I always assumed that Invisible girl and Dupli-arms, accidentaly dropped the cuffs earlier in the fight before we get to see them. If the cuffs were already behind Snipe then a fully Invisible person could go behind and pick them up without being noticed. Another possibility is, as mentioned in the vid, the exact nature of the invisible quirk is unknown. For all we know the Invisible girl could be capable of turning small objects invisible so long as she meets some condition. Like holding it with both hands or as long as she is holding her breath or something. We've already seen something similar with Mind Control boy back in the tournament arc.

The point of these tests was not for the pro heroes to go all out against the students. If they did that, they would absolutely win, even with their handicaps. The point was to put them all in a position against opponents who either hard counter them, or are just difficult for them to deal with, and for the students to think outside the box to win.

I don't know where these guys get a lot of their recommendations but I figured I'd at least mention it here. These guys should watch Voltron Legendary Defenders when they get a new slot! Not only does it have 6 awesome seasons with more coming out but it also shares a lot of similar strengths to the Avatar series which these guys loved.
