One thing I dont get that people did talk about was "Kota has a quirk!" like yeah. Never stated he was quirkless and he had 2 parents with quirks. But people seem to freak out about it anyways.

He didn't actually go a million percent. It was an expression to himself to go beyond All-Might. When the pathing effect of One for All happened and you see the different color orbs, this is the first time we saw it go past gold which is All Might. It went to a green to symbolize that Deku is beginning to tap into his version of the power which will be stronger than All Might. Remember the power of One for All is to cultivate power and grow with each successor. For reference we know only about 3 users at this point Purple - All Might Teacher Gold - All Might Green - Deku Pay attention to what color it lands on in the future to know who's power they are tapping when you see that on screen.

This episode always makes me tear up hard and the 1million percent was a battle cry, Deku’s 100% is only 100% of what his body can handle, he’s using maybe 10% of all mights true power. So when he screamed that it was him surpassing his limits, but he still has a long time to go til he can truly handle all mights max power.

You got to remember that all mights 100% isnt the same as dekus bcuz one for all gets stronger every new holder so we dont know just how much stronger but for example all might at 100 could be as strong as deku at 50. Theres no knowing how strong the difference is tho

The reason he went even farther here is due to the adrenaline from the situation, which a doctor tells us later. Just like I can punch someone with 100% strength, but with adrenaline I can punch even harder. What his body can handle is 5%, but when he uses “100%”, that’s a full smash

This is probably my favourite episode in the entire show. That moment of absolute despair when Deku accepts his death and apologizes to his mom still makes me cry to this day. The music and the way he says it, even in the dub, is just so powerful. He's dying and he's worried about disappointing his mom... Geez, I'm crying just writing this. Ok, time for some push-ups. Gotta go punch something!

One of the reasons I love My Hero’s version of a superhero story is its examination of what a hero is on a world-scale but also on an individual level. Here we have a little boy who has his light stripped from him and sees the world through a jaded lens until someone comes along to grant him new hope. My Hero is more often about ‘saving’ people than saving lives. You don’t need to be a ‘Hero’ to display heroic traits. Everybody has the capacity to be a hero to somebody.

The 1,000,000% Delaware Detroit Wasn't actually 1,000,000 it was deku Hyping himself up so that he Could Protect kota. It Was a Full 100% Smash,Using what he had left in His strength. Also keep in mind kota kinda inspired Deku to act because of Him seeing him use his quirk For the first time,And that's why he hyped himself up.

Great episode and great reactions to it. The moment when Muscular first hits Deku into the wall and Anthony's grin fades so suddenly with that 'oh shit' was a particularly brilliant to see. This episode made me full out bawl my eyes out the first time, no shame in getting teary, this is a really emotional episode. What I like about that final move is that you can actually break it down technically. Deku uses a Delaware Smash to blow all the muscle fibers Muscular was using to protect himself by whipping out his fingers, the same move as his finger flicks. Then he hits him with the Detroit Smash to the face. Even in this super emotional state he's still thinking.

After some backlash the author clarified that deku doesn't have precise control of his output, so much like those stories of people lifting cars in times of dire need, deku used a battlecry of 1,000,000% to psych himself up and push his body to the absolute limit of its power, a true 100%. Most of the time people can't and won't use 100% because of the insane amount of pain and damage it can cause your body, but it does happen. An anology: when doing pushups, most people go until they get tired. Some people push further until they collapse. Theoretically, you could keep going until you pass out. Deku did the pass out thing. Saitama regularly did the collapse thing. In case it isn't clear, these kinds of mindsets and actions aren't just bad for you, they can be extremely dangerous leading to permanent bodily and mental damage, and even death. Do not try this.

There was a comment from the author a little while back that said something along the lines of, at this point, Deku's 100% smashes are really much lower than that and his body stops him from pushing too far. It's when he hits this one million percent range that really gets him closer to the actual limits of the quirk, though it is still an arbitrary number not quite at 100%

I absolutely cried like a baby watching Deku get beaten down over and over again, and finally being inspired by (and in turn, inspiring) Kota to push past his limits and defeat Muscular. Deku has never punched 100%. His power is going to be stronger then Allmight and right now Allmight is at 20% of his peak power. That means Deku will be stronger then peak Allmight and he hasn't even approached 20% Allmight yet. This is the closest he has gotten.

I'm sure many people have said it already but the 1 million percent thing was really just a battle cry as if he HAD actually gone 1 million percent he along with everything in the immediate vicinity would most likely have been turned to dust. Still, considering how little damage his 100% smash with an unbroken arm did to the villain who wasn't at fully power yet I would say that this Delaware Detroit Smash was several magnitudes higher factoring in that his arm was already in tatters.
