I think the previous scene misleads them. We see Deku go back to the classroom and everyone else is there reviewing the matches. We see Deku remark that Kachan left and we see his empty desk. I think this communicates visually that Kachan quit class midway during the school day and is leaving the program. Once we are outside we can see it's dusk and from Kachan's dialogue infer that he is just leaving school for the day because classes are over.

Invisible girl’s quirk is light refraction. She’s invisible due to her quirk’s mutation, just the guy with the tail, his tail is the mutation, his quirk allows him to move it.

Technically we don't know fully how Ojiro's quirk works. It's either a full mutation - and it's just another limb, similar to Tokoyami's beak, Mineta's small body and Koji's rocky skull. Or it's an extra limb, but his quirk allows him to move it. Difference is - can Aizawa cancel him moving the tail or not. And it could be both ways. Good example of that - we have seen a villain woman at the end of the season, who had snake hair. Aizawa's cancellation didn't eliminate her mutation, but the quirk itself that allowed her to control snakes, has been cancelled. On the other hand in newer arc there is a villain with quirk that allows to fingers to grow out of the body of its user. It feels like something that would be a transformation quirk, but was in actually a mutation, that countered Aizawa's quirk. In Hagakure's case story specifically says that she uses her apparently transparent body to refract and bend light. That's why it is a mutation and not manipulation quirk and most likely can't be cancelled by Aizawa.

Honestly, I am to this day a bit confused why Deku chose to tell all of this darkest secret to Kacchan in that moment, but I guess this scene showed that regardless of all the shit between them, and all the character flaws Kachcan has in that moment, he still was in Deku´s eyes sb he respected a ton, and Kacchan s opinions of him matterd to him a lot.
