No, that's BS and breaks any semblance of friendship (and relationship) he could have had with them. Hell, the only person I haven't seen in longer than a year that I actually wanted to see was my little brother and we would still write letters, call, and video chat when we could get throughout. I'm so damn happy about this, and with S7 honestly improving upon the final war arc as it smoothed out alot of the content in there and i love this arc now. These 38 pages can help settle some of the issues I had with the epilogue. Overall I thought the ending was ok but this extended epilogue chapter can really help it out and hopefully S8 of the anime improves upon it further

You can add so much in 38 pages and I hope it does add a lot. You can have a series full of flaws and inconsistencies, but a good/satisfying ending will decide its fate in the long run

I don't get why people are surprised. This is standard practice in mangas, Naruto and Bleach got light novels post ending plus special chapters, Dragon Ball had multiple version of it's ending, there is even cases like Getter Robo when they did a massive re release and the author not only redrew some pages but straight up added new chapters. This isn't even going in cases where the animes extend or change endings, Yu Yu Hakusho had an awful final arc that was entirely omitted and had it's ending rewritten for the anime and FMA:B also added new scenes to it's finale.

No conformed romance which was horikoshis way of avoiding backlash from the cringe side of the fanbase but will probably get a confirmation eventually anyways 2. Deku losing his quirk which everyone was already theorizing about happening and fits realistically within the themes of the story. Yet people got mad because Deku didn't get All Might level recognition which again, Deku isnt All Might 2.0 Either way If deku had tried to follow in All Mights footsteps then things wouldve gone downhill. 3. So many overused memes of the final chapter causing misconceptions where people were dumb enough to believe that Deku's friends didin't want to talk to him or that Deku got "cucked" or that he was gonna work a 9-5 till the end of time. Either way, regardless of how we view the endings quality it had very mixed opinions yet the true haters who want to see it fail are making it out to be worse. That was my whole point. That is my opinion.

I honestly disagree heavily with anyone that says that the ending for my hero academia is rushed. The series has an entire volume of epilogue for the ending. Its ending longer than most manga. Some things I can kinda understand, like ochako x izuku or not seeing deku's father after it was stated he'd show up. But things like seeing what 1-a is doing as pro heroes can be saved for a spinoff/sequel. People get angry when a manga's ending is extended beyond its natural length but then ask for things to happen in the ending that arent necessary. I dont think people understand what they're asking for

I think it had a great many moments and stuff that made MHA the series it is. The scene with Spinner, the Todoroki family finale, the scene on the cliff with Ochako and Izuku, and most of all the old lady reaching her hand out to someone in need in chapter 429. It was a packed epilogue, no questions about it. That said... chapter 430 needed still needed to be longer, it was still really meaningful in many ways, but there was also a severe lack of info on things that the fans really wanted to have, like Izuocha sailling, seeing Deku's new life in detail, seeing how everyone in 1A are after 8 years, and with the suit by the end of the chapter, I think many wanted to see Deku in action with it again, working as a pro hero. I honestly really like the idea of him being both a UA teacher, and occasionally working as a pro hero with the suit, which is why I wanted a bit more scenes of both within the chapter.

Normally I don’t care about shipping characters but when u specifically dedicate 2 characters Romance in the plot and in the end leads nowhere is like “what was the point in all of this if they weren’t gonna get together in the first place”

No matter what anyone says, I am never buying that Class 1-A somehow scraped together the money needed to fund Izuku's Hero-Suit for eight years. That's complete BS, for one simple reason: They have a Yaomomo. One of Momo's key-attributes was that her family is so ridiculously rich their bank-accounts basically just read Yes. She could have funded the whole thing out of her family's change-jar if she'd wanted to. And it's not like they had to go with the full super-suit model All Might's but better right from the start, they could have started with something simpler and then slowly upgraded over time, it's not like there was an urgent crises at hand. Honestly, when I first read the last chapter I just found it depressing, because it felt like the whole class 1-A including Ochaco had ditched Izuku once he became Quirkless again. Not only that, but Izuku himself just seemed like a disappointment, because he seemingly just gave up on his dream the moment OFA's last embers had fizzled out, he didn't even try to go the Knuckleduster-route despite the fact that he had an official hero-license and wouldn't have to have to go Vigilante. And even his achievements seem to have been reduced, because Deku wasn't treated like this great hero like All Might, the way it looked Deku seemed more like an urban legend than a cultural icon. Honestly, it seemed like Hatsume was literally the only one who didn't give up on Izuku and was content to let him fade into obscurity. Because all we heard from Izuku was that it was getting more difficult to meet up with everyone living their own lives, no mentions of a family, heck even Aizawa was asking Izuku if he was feeling lonely. Aizawa is not a "talk about your feelings"-guy, so if he of all people feels the need to speak up that's a bad sign. So yeah, I'm hopeful these 38 new pages are going to be able to change this rather bleak ending.

8:20 i just want to see all of them in action as adults one time. Like give them all moments to shine taking out some fodder bad guy. Kinda like how we were introduced to the previous gen pro heroes. I get the world is more at peace, but fine make them use their quirks to stop burning buildings/natural disasters/anything. Just give us more detail on their adult powers/form than the quick panel he made.

I was so dissatisfied with the original ending that I wrote my own alternate version on Wattpad. Not only am I a big IzuOcha fan that was upset that it wasn't completely clear whether they were together or not, but I also would've liked to see a lot more info about what the other class A characters were up to instead of focusing so much on Deku's students who hadn't appeared in any previous chapters and who we have no emotional investment in. The one fear I have is that I might dislike the extended version even more but I doubt Horikoshi hasn't heard some of the grievances from the fanbase about the original ending and will hopefully address those issues.

I was kind of worried about the idea of an MHA sequel, but you bringing up the Quirk Singularity was actually a good idea. As it stands, its only real significance within the main story was Garaki's motivation for joining All for One and an offhanded comment during the Toga section of the final fight. A hypothetical sequel could very easily focus on this and make that the overarching threat, though I'm not entirely sure how they would handle resolving it. I guess it depends on how that threat manifests.

I'm hopeful that this will at least include some mention of vigilantes characters since the end of vigilantes literally mentioned how we'd see them in the main series and I wish we could see what they were doing during all this (and to be frank I just want more Koichi and Pop Step screen time they were way more interesting characters) and I'd love to we them in horikoshis style. But I'm also pessimistic and probably it's just gonna shoehorn in whatever ship and then the fandom is gonna get that much more toxic, honestly I think it'd be cooler if he didn't make any ship "canon" cuz I don't want to see the inevitable train of bs over which ship is better canon wise. I say this as someone who ships both bakudeku and ochadeku. I'm a multishipper because at the end of the day canon means nothing to me on that front and I do this for fun which is apparently dead in fandom. Which just leads to the most toxic bs about morals and uninspired nonsense worshipping canon and I'm so tired of it. It would be so funny too cuz everyone is expecting it. I don't have much actual hope though I'm too pessimistic about this shit lol

The MHA ending is still not that great. MHA was a great series with MASSIVE potentiom that fell victim to continuous mistakes in the later half and especially the end being underwhelming. While this extra helps a bit, i dont blame anyone for being dissapointed in how things ended

The problem isn't that jts bad, it's that we live in a generation that prioritises dopamine addiction over healthy consumption of art. Two and a half worth of context and information would be amazing. Add in some context, maybe change around some perception of Deku so he doesn't seem entirely sidelined. Maybe even show off his Hero work with or without his battle suit. I REALLY hope that Horikoshi plays it well. Otherwise we might get MHA: Number 1 Fast Food hero the sequel.

Okay let's not mislead people into thinking he's making a whole new ending with that title. For all we know it could just be expansion of the epilogue before/during/after the timeskip and for all we know we still don't see anything past the last page of the final chapter. The title is potentially misleading.
