I was at Game 7 Avs over Devils in 2001, and it was incredible. For many reasons. It's a good bucket list item. I got to play broomball during intermission at an Avs / Coyotes game. The Avs played like crap, and Roy was just awful that night. I played goalie in Roy's crease, wearing my Roy jersey and it was awesome. I was making kicksaves in jeans and boots, but there was no way I was giving up a goal in that crease. So I had a better night than Roy did, but the competition level was slightly lower in the broomball game. I want a hug from Gritty someday. I want the Flyers to win a Cup, since last time it happened I was like 3. I would love to see an Olympic gold medal hockey match. I've seen CHL (Central Hockey League) and ECHL championships, the AHL is probably not going to happen, so I'm 3/4 on championships. Fun list.

Watch a hockey game outside of North America (almost had the chance to watch a game in Scotland, but couldn't get it to fit with my schedule) - Japan would be cool.

I have like 3 paragraphs for this video. Start out positive. 1. I think you have a big enough following that someone watching can make half of those happen. I have been part of a few of those on your list. 2. Being on the ice/being on the ice area after the ice was removed for the FL Panthers. However so have like thousands because they do public events or did. High school teams also played in the area. Crazy going into the arena with 100 people and it was set up as an NHL game. 3. Saw the cup raised in Tampa against Calgary game 7. Cost a huge 68 dollars after fees for lower bowl. 4. Behind the scenes many times doing the panthers radio broadcasts. 5. I had a chance for Pavel Bure(former Canuck) to sign my Panthers jersey but I hate chasing players down even though he said he would. The girl I was with had no problem with it. 6. As far as calling a game. That would be a great way to get the team promoted on your channel. Do a period on color commentary first See how it goes. How do you act under the pressure of being live and knowings its going on air live. I was thinking Utah or the Ducks need something to get attention to them. 7. Every arena for Hockey is also one of mine. Need to win the lottery first because the travel alone will be 10's of thousands. Food, hotel, flights, car rentals. Also want to do it for the NFL and MLB. 8 GET BACK ON YOUR SKATES! Its not that hard. It won't be like it used and it takes a few minutes to an hour to get comfortable. No you won't have the muscle strength do go crazy but just like the treadmill you start somewhere. I do it all the time. Three years no skating, hit the pavement or ice, get nervous, take a few laps and I am good. 9. I would love to do a practice session with NHL team. Not to compete for a spot but to see how far away I was at getting to that level. Can I take a real hit and get up? I have been hit by guys 6'3 but they didnt have the balance and skill of an NHL guy. I would cancel them out. I don't think I am canceling out Gudas.

@@LargeOhioSon and only 6 from STL and Nashville. I’ve been to a couple of games there, and really enjoyed it and the fans. I’ve been to a few Blues away games, and the Columbus crowd did a great job of mocking our goal count, which is fair. Also, having gone to games elsewhere, I don’t see how it’s not ranked least expensive in the league. I got a really good deal down low on the corners a couple years back.

@@woodsie22 Even with priority access to the Stadium Series on offer, I just could justify becoming an STL bc there are insane deals you can get on the secondary market at NWA. The best I did was $80/ea for the Yotes on a Tuesday, sat two rows back from the bench. I want us to turn the corner but we are also spoiled for affordable options. Last year Arizona was the cheapest experience, but then were was also Florida, Ottawa and Buffalo. I was a little surprised Florida is still on bottom of the list.

About #2, you'd be surprised how much cheaper the tickets in Europe are. It sure makes up for about 1/4 of the airfare. Also, surprised that attending a Bruins-Habs playoff game isn't on your list. There is no better hockey, it's a surreal experience. For me it tops even watching a Stanley Cup win (which I have also experienced, exactly once).

Mine ended up being a top 15. And I may end up adding things I’ve forgotten to the list later. 😅 15. See an Avs game on the road. It’d be fun to visit another NHL arena. Maybe I’ll eventually make that trip to Utah to see some of the national parks, and go to see the Avs play the UHC while I’m at it. 14. See an overseas game. Or better yet, see an Olympic game! 13. Paint the Avs ice. In the past, it’s been done by lottery, but I think this off-season it was actually first come first serve, and I didn’t sign up in time. I would love to be on the ice and add my little touches to it, to have a part of that. 12. Catch a puck! I don’t usually get to sit in the lower bowl because of prices, but it sure would be cool to be able to catch a puck that went over the glass. I go down during warm-ups, but even then one has never found me. 11. Get involved with the Avs organization somehow. I don’t picture myself ever having a staff position or something, but I’d still like a chance to get in and be a small part of what they do, in some way. 10. See a CC Tigers and Air Force Falcons game at their arenas, thus seeing every NHL, AHL, and NCAA team at their arenas in Colorado. I hope to complete this one this coming season. 9. Travel to Buffalo and see a Sabres game. The Sabres are my second favorite team. 8. See the Avs play every NHL team. I’ve seen all but a few, so I’m getting close on this one. 7. Sit at the glass for a game. I’ve been at the glass for warmups, but never for a game. 6. Meet the rest of the Avs’ roster. I’ve met several, but there are a lot of others I’m hoping to meet, like MacKinnon, Rantanen, and Manson. 5. Meet Peter Budaj, my all-time favorite player. I tried to do it while he was here, but it never came to fruition, and now that he’s gone to Anaheim, it’s going to be even harder for that dream to ever come true. 4. Skate on the ice at Ball Arena. It would be even more sensational to be able to play a game on that ice, but I don’t expect that to be a possibility. 3. Teach kids to play hockey! Once I learn to play and get good enough, I want to pass it on. I know someone who teaches his kids and others, and I watch that and want to do it myself! I’m a teacher anyway and kids are my passion. It’d be a blast to get to teach them to play the greatest game on earth. 2. See the Avs win a Cup in person. I almost got to see it in 2022, but they choked in Game 5 and I couldn’t afford to fly out to Tampa for Game 6. I wish I’d taken out a loan! 1. Play hockey myself! Growing up, it was not something my family could afford, and it wasn’t until the past few years that I was assured that it wasn’t too late for me to still learn to play, so now I’m doing everything I can to get my skating down and, God willing, see my dream of playing finally fulfilled.

We have a lot in common on with your bucket list. And for someone that did it on the fly, you did a great job in coming up with 10 items, Shannon. As for alumni events, the Flyers usually have something at least once a year. They have even held alumni games between team alumni and those of other teams such as the Bruins. One of them was recently and was a ticketed event. I went to one of their Flyers Hall of Fame games at Wells Fargo Center as well.

1. Reach out when you come to Fort Lauderdale/Miami area and we'll go to a Panthers game. I've been to Columbus, St. Louis, Tampa, Panthers, Vegas (best pre-game opening sequence), and Edmonton. I'm excited to do many more. 3. I went to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals this year with Florida vs Edmonton and man, the intensity was...well...intense....I've become a Panthers fan since I moved to South Florida 2.5 years ago and yes, I know I missed all of the lean years. That final 10 second countdown, watching more rats fly onto the ice than I've ever seen, and watching the players skate around with the Stanley Cup and then the fun dance party in the arena bar after was such an amazing experience. You'll get there too. 2028, Game 7 - Vancouver vs. Chicago, I'm calling the prediction now 5. That sounds like a lot of fun. I wonder how I'd arrange it. @@otaviofrn_adv I don't mean Latvia on a skill level, though they've had some good players in the NHL. But from video I've seen, they're really into the games and look like they have a lot of fun, so if I went to Europe and wanted to watch some hockey, I'd check out Latvia.

@@RRaquello I get that. Back in 2010, I went to a couple of Dinamo Riga games, when they played in the KHL. Was good atmosphere! I wonder if they'll join the league once more, whenever the Russia-Ukraine war is over...

go to an away Leafs game in an arena that has low ticket prices. Then use the rest of the trip as your holiday/vacation. The away prices might even out for the ticket prices. Leafs away games are usually more anyways, but nothing like Toronto prices.

Shannon, you can rent ice at Roger’s Arena. It’s expensive but it would be an absolute blast for the guys that could go.

I lived in Scotland for a couple of years and went to the women's hockey world championships in Finland in 2009. It was great. I got a ticket for both the bronze and gold medal games for, I think, 30-40 Euros in the 3rd or 4th row at one end of the ice. Everyone around me was Finnish, so I of course cheered for Finland in the bronze medal game. And when the gold medal game was on, most of the Finns were cheering for Canada. Unfortunately the USA won the gold medal. 😢 On the train back to Helsinki from the small city where the tournament was held, i chatted to several Finns who had been at the games as well. It was a great trip.

You could (?) organize a tour group to Europe and then play street games in Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, Germany, with meet ups with followers living there. Sounds like fun. But, what do I know. “I know NOTHing” in the words of Schultz.

(Along with my father) be a part of a selection committee for Team Canada at a major, best-on-best tournament like the World Cup or Olympics. I'd like to at least help pick a team, if not outright pick one.

my list from easiest to much more difficult. It only involves arenas. First my background: Born just north of Boston so I've always been a bruins fan. My dad took me to a bruins game at the old Boston garden when i was 6. (the habs) But now I've lived in Vegas since 1977. A lot has changed in that time frame. I am a Golden Knights fan too. Anyways here goes: (1) See every team play the Knights at T-moble arena. I'm currently at 13 different teams. {bonus points for having all O6 teams checked off} (double bonus for having the Arizona Coyotes checked off) btw they should offer me season tickets because the knights are 11-2 when I'm in the building! (2) See the knights play in every arena. This is where it gets tough. I'm hoping to do as much as I can after I retire.

I'd like to do all the arenas, see the elimination rounds in the Olympics, go to the Canada Cup if they ever brought that back, See a home and home of Boston and Montreal, Hockey hall of Fame, World Juniors Championship, see a game in Russia, Sweden and Finland, Game 7 of the cup finals, Game 7 of the conference finals in Toronto, seeing the Canucks win their first Cup. That would be my 10.

You know you're a hockey nut when Shannon says May Day and you think of Brad May XD One of my personal goals is to visit every NHL arena too. I'm at 8/32. 6 of those I seen a game (Det, TB, Minn, Chi, Tor, Pitt), 2 were non games (Phil for NXT show and Dal for a Mavs NBA game) Also been to a Coyotes and Thrashers game. I'd love to meet my favorite player Auston Matthews.

Unfortunately many of the items on my list are very expensive. For example travelling to all NHL markets and buying tickets to see every arena in action would be very expensive. One of the possibly cheaper items would be to pose with the Stanley Cup. To have that picture in my man cave would be great.

I just want to go to an NHL game, preferably Canucks. I briefly worked in Vancouver about 12 years ago. Unfortunately I was there during the lock out 😢 got to a Vancouver Giants and one of the subway series games though, but I’ve still not gotten over it. I know you have a Belfast Giants jersey, if you’re ever in Ireland you gotta go to a game.
