@@PWRpengbotdude. Field hockey cam first so or question should be why is ice hockey called hockey. But what on earth is the definition of hockey? And if you don’t know the stick is shaped that way since you can only use the one side of the stick (the flat side). So the curved edge allows you to play backhand (where you turn the stick upside down and play it on the other side of your body). The curve helps you to control the ball more easily. It also helps with a skill called drag flicks and full shots. The curve makes it easier to lift the ball. It also makes it easier to do this one trick (don’t know what it’s called) where you pick up the ball on your stick and you run it for a bit

What’s with people saying that field hockey is not hockey. Both field and ice have the a sick, protective gear, they are literally the same only difference is one is on ice and the other is on grass, and yet these guys have the audacity to say that she doesn’t know what is hockey. They need to realise that the world doesn’t revolve around only Americans. We Aussie play field hockey more then ice hockey and it’s more popular around the world.
