My second baby girl is due the 12th of July and it was such a good reminder when you said that God is so in control, with the timing and how the birth goes. Congratulations!! I have a Rosie too 😊 Currently I'm 38 weeks pregnant with a baby boy, and seriously considering changing from a clinic birth to a home birth. My discussion with my OB left me with a bad feeling that our childbirth philosophies did not align, especially her trying to convince me that episiotomies are better and safer than natural tearing! 😮 So I'm just waiting on an ultrasound to make sure my placenta is healthy, then I'll probably meet with a midwife to arrange a HVAC

34 weeks! Due on July 3, but signs are pointing to this sweet baby coming early. Lots of Braxton hicks, belly dropped low, baby is definitely engaged (lightning crotch galore), and I just have this feeling that we’ll be meeting this our firstborn earlier than expected. I loved your story! I would think squat pushes is a more normal and more comfortable feeling than pushing on your back. I feel like they push up your legs way high as if you are sitting that way anyway. I was on my back for all three of mine. My last one fell out in between pushes haha. I love that you are able to do home births! What a blessing. She looks beautiful. I felt with my first birth that the placenta birth hurt more and that baby was ten pounds. Wish I recorded birthing my two oldest but I did record for my little one who is about to turn one in a few weeks! Feel free to watch that birth story if you ever want to. Thanks again so much for sharing your story. It is great how you can turn babies during birth without issue when so many in non-home births are pretty much forced to do c-sections. Not sure your take on that though.

I’m happy to see this went lovely for you. Your sweet baby girl is precious. I love the name you chose for her. Also yes to the birth vlog - it’s okay that it doesn’t have the “climactic moment”. Although you didn’t intend for it to be this way, that’s now a special private memory for only you, your husband, and baby to share now. 💕 Instead of having that portion of the video, I think it would be sweet to use music as the climax. You could even have music building and then have the screen go black/say her birthdate and name and have a recording of her crying (to mimic that fresh baby cry that she had when she was first born) then transition to close up videos of your sweet girl. Just an idea 🥰

I’m 41 weeks and 3 days today. I was considering taking the midwives brew in 2 days if babies not here. I’m suppose to give birth at the birthing center. I’m not allowed to go over 2 weeks past my due date, otherwise I’ll have to give birth at the hospital and get medically induced there. 😕 Your birth story really encouraged me to trust God and surrender to Him. Not to take matters into my own hands. (Which is much easier said than done) God bless you, sister. Such an amazing story. Such a beautiful little angel you’ve got in your arms there.
