We live in a tiny home that I bought some years ago because it was the cheapest at the time. Unfortunately my job doesn't allow me to work remotely. I work for an airline at LAX. I've always thought about selling my house and buying a house close to El Tunco and using it as an Airbnb and buying another home for my family to live in. I guess I could always work at a call center off needed to be. By the way, San Diego is super nice, but it's so expensive. I love the proximity to Mexico. Salu

We as Salvadorean it is normal to pay $105 per rent , because the salary per month is $360. So to pay $500 it's so expensive for us 😬. Great video !!! 💕💕 You're so sweet!! I hope one day to have beautiful house like you.

Hola! WOOOOWWWW!!! I live in Manhattan, NY and there are parking spaces that cost that much or more! CRAZY! It is Impossible to own or rent literally anything for that price here in NYC! by NYC standards you would be considered homeless and destitute, so many things wrong with the US!!! Yes it is crazy how much you need to make to survive on the US. For so many years I worked just to barely get by. But I read some people daydreaming about moving to el salvador now and get something similar and we know that wont happen. Jajaja 😂 it is though 🦄. Shower bath combos are the norm for apartments in the states and a bathtub was something I missed here in El Salvador.... The ironic thing is I almost never use it... we don't have hot water and it's usually too hot to even want hot water... But a cold bath is just a mini pool 😂 the girls enjoy it though and it's super nice to have.

I miss the houses in El Salvador. They are very cozy and very spacious. Unfortunately the cost of living there is expensive :( I now live in LA paying for a 2 bedroom apartment $1,500 but I’ve been living here for so many years. I used to live in pinares de Suiza in santa tecla. I loved my colonia although it was at a high risk of landslides. Beautiful home!

así es Ernesto acá está cañón la vivienda y la comida están por las nubes sólo que esta señora gana dólares no siente el precio de 500 dólares al mes y sueldo mínimo es de 360 dólares como diablos alguien que gana eso podrá pagar un alquiler así en Santa tecla vive mi consuegra y ella a veces renta su apartamento en 500 dólares al mes y ella se fue a vivir a la casa que paga 325 mensuales e queda 175 más su pensión mínima se le hace algo de dinero pero pues no todos tienen esa dicha de tener casa propia y ud lo sabe acá en una col, como la que ud dice están super caras las casas,?

Wow 🤩 very, very nice home. You have a tub and your own laundry including a gym and a pool?! That’s amazing. You’ve been blessed with that house with that rent price point. I would definitely be interested in seeing more homes for that price.

In the city homes are much more expensive but the farther outside of San Salvador you get the lower the rent by is. Funny enough that includes the beach here! 💙

@@ThatExpatMom I’m also interested in the language app you’re promoting. I speak Spanish but I’m not 100% fluent. I also find some phrases are not a straight away translation. It depends on the context and what you mean to say in Spanish. I’ve noticed that with my mom translating for me to my dad. It’s a culture difference too. Also when I watch movies in English but with Spanish subtitles there’s a lot that can’t be exactly translated. I wish there was an app specifically for ES Spanish or even Central American Spanish.

Great video..I remember those nice and spacious homes in El Salvador when I lived there once upon a time.. Great home with wonderful spaces...in Panama where I live that same house would go for easily for $2000 or $3000. I pay $495 in a one bedroom apartament in a central area of Panama City. Great price for a nice home in El Salvador with all the amenities. Great trips provided for us to follow..
