I can not speak highly enough of these boys ! I sent my EP3 in and they bent over backwards for me and were so accommodating. So Jake, Dave and the rest of the Motion crew, thanks for all your work and efforts. The key point in this is take the car for a health check first so that the "initial estimate" costs are close to the end figure. There will be more found once stripped down. Awesome video Olly 👍.

Although I don’t think these will reach EK9 or DC2 money just because EP3 aren’t a cult classic on that level, I do think they will keep climbing as more people hunt for that raw driving experience with reliability after getting bored with modern cars. The amount makes me wince but ive had mine nearly 5 years and plan to keep it long term so seems like a good investment. No worries! I am glad it could shine some light on this kind of work! Looks brilliant but not exactly an affordable option😂 I appreciate the work that’s gone into it and all the extras but for that much idk if it’s even worth it at all can buy a whole new clean ep3 for 6.5k. Was hoping to do something like this with my ep3 but I’ve been put off now I’ll just try and restore the underside myself😭 something like this should be more priced towards 2/3 grand max otherwise barely anyone would bother with doing it.. (my opinion)
@OllyRoss
@OllyRoss 11 ай бұрын
I understand the point you are making and I did think the same but there isn’t really any other way of doing this job properly and that unfortunately, takes a lot of time and money. I wish it was £2/3k all in too but it just isn’t possible to do it for that price. Even a £6.5k EP3 that is “clean” may only be clean for a couple years because there isn’t any way to escape the rust issues these cars have. Also, it depends on your long term plan with the car too I guess. If you don’t plan on keeping it more than a few years then this isn’t something you will spend the money on anyway. Either way, I do understand your point!

@OllyRoss
@OllyRoss 11 ай бұрын
@@KlashtasticK You need to book in a health check first for Motion to have a look over the car to see how long they think it is going to take them. At this point they would tell you what their availability is. It took them around 3 weeks to complete but it will vary based on the car’s condition. (I did slow things down by filming the progress) It depends on if it is just surface rust or if it goes deeper than that. Again, something that Motion will be able to tell you once they have seen the car

Sure, you could buy another EP3 for £6K but that car is going to have rust too. There is no escaping the inevitable so one day you either have to decide to do this level of work to save the car or leave it to rust away.
