The problem is the beach and water is the ONLY thing there. Thats it noting else. Also the job market is terrible for skilled or higher end jobs. The place has been ruined compared to what it used to be.

That's ridiculous, they have amazing shopping that rivals cities two to three times the size. Amazing restaurants and bars, boating tours, amazing golf courses, entertainment venues, some pristine freshwater springs right out of town, excellent deer hunting. The list goes on and on.

It’s a paper mill not a chemical company
@fusium8 ай бұрын
The mill closed in 2022, The chemical plant is still open that is the smell. People always thought it was the mill but it was not.

All the homeless live at the beach now. Thats why you dont see them on townside as much.

Bro you can’t say nothing about a area if you never stayed there leave it to the people who actually lived there. I know you wanted to say ghetto. Just say it lol. Springfield and parker was more ghetto and had very ugly homes but callaway was a very good area. I lived in callaway for 2 years in a newly renovated town home came from Wisconsin. I never heard gunshots never heard sirens never saw drama never saw thug’s never saw homeless maybe here or there but you see that everywhere but it was rare to see them. All the crime happens closer to the beach area and people dying of stupid bar fights shootings and falling from buildings. Also I didn’t smell anything ever until I got closer and closer to the plant don’t make it seem as if you can smell it from all over. Is very affordable though.

I basically live in Callaway and my business inventory is there. I smell it once a week lol. Like I said, I like the area and no I wouldn’t call it ghetto. If you see me say hi!
