i have no idea how they fix this either, feels like they've built the game in such a way that this is the only viable playstyle. not sure shields will fix this given it won't stop spamming zoners from hurling out projectiles from the corner

One thing they could do is let people hit projectiles with disjoints/sweet spots to destroy/reflect them like in most other platform fighters. That would make it so approaching someone with projectiles (like say, Batman) isn’t absolutely trivial. Shields won’t help with approaches, it will just make sitting still at ledge really strong.

Agree with most of the tierlist but would put steven below arya, Steven has cheesy moves but all of them don't connect with another move, superman and arya are way more rounded in that regard . They need to rework Jake/Steven/Marvin to have more of a combo game instead of relying on some cheesy moves to win

Jack's problem is that, HE DOESN'T HAVE KNOCKBACK, he doesn't push anything, I got to 180 with a Jack and I hit him with the full combo and he didn't go away

Real, he most relies on edgeguards to get early kills - but for some reason Jack has like, the strongest dash attack for no reason. Just fish for that at around 100 damage

As a PPG main, i have 0 idea. I feel they are fine now, sure some moves kill quite early (Buttercup grounded side B), but they lack a lot of crap that others have. They don't really have disjoints or armor, so their attacks lose out against many high priority moves. Some moves have a lot of endlag too, like forward air. Meanwhile Shaggy? Side B! Oh, missed? Side B, Side B, Side B. You try to punish it? SIDE B! YOU DIE! Or Agent Smith with that damn gun, which has a hitbox as big as the grand canyon. Granted, i definitely suck as a player in this game, so partially my fault too, but i still have no clue how they are supposed to be overpowered? The ridiculous 0-deaths got changed, didn't they? So what exactly is so OP about them? Unless there is some deplorable, degenerate playstyle that makes 'em almost unbeatable, i have no idea. I go in and fight.
