My Honest Opinion on Hard Work, Hustle, Rest, and Sleep | DailyVee 416

If you're truly doing what you love, it won't feel like you're actually working... Even though I talk a lot about hard work and hustle, I still take some time off on the weekends to spend with my family, watch Jets games, and rest. Just because I put so much emphasis on working hard doesn't mean that I'm remotely trying to say that you shouldn't be sleeping or not resting... I'm trying to say that you should be using the time that you have while awake wisely and productively.

Yo, I think that it's most important to optimize the hours you work. Don't think just because you're working a lot of hours, you're actually being productive. Make sure you are utilizing those hours at maximum efficiency.

The greatest side-hustle of my life is taking care of my health. I put in at least 2 hours a day to workout and stay healthy. Health is everything. If you are killing it at your business but neglecting your health, you'll burn down before your competition and before seeing your rocket fly. Remember, the game is to hold the breath as long as you can. If your stamina is low, you are not gonna last for more than a minute. Take health seriously. Watch what you eat, train your mind to embrace a healthy diet and lifestyle. Invest in adequete sleep. Let's be physically and mentally strong 💪

It's interesting how people view health and business performance as mutually exclusive. Exercise and sleep are not only important for your health, but your ability for your brain to function well. Things like creativity and problem solving all benefit from maintaining health. So that one hour at the gym everyday might make you more productive during the day, therefore creating value to your business rather than taking away.

Best video yet Gary Vee. Appreciate your honesty. Young people need to hear your voice, the misconception of not just cool but hard work, grit, what it ACTUALLY means to have empathy for a person. You're touching a spot that aspiring young leaders are being drawn to because they know that "hustle" or "work hard now and sleep when you are dead" is first off not realistic and is fundamentally flawed if you were to actually serve your people, your tribe, your customers.
