I usually put smashbox primer oil under all my stick foundations. It helps smooth it on like butter. I also have dry skin. I also do a thin layer because my skin can’t take thick or full coverage. I love it.

Hi Kathy! 🙂 I was hoping you might comment on this one, as I remembered you telling me about it, and I was hoping you might have some insight on how you make it work so well for you. And sure enough you did! Thanks so much for the tip on the primer oil!❤️ 🙏🏻 I'll definitely give it another shot using the primer oil first! So glad that you love this one! Hope you're having a great weekend! 🍭

Beautiful foundation and review, Jenny, thank you! I guess they can't all be perfect, though, or we'd never have the pleasure(?) of trying to find The One. Wishing you a wonderful weekend, ma'am, and please send my regards to the household... with snuggles for Normie, of course! 🥰

So true! 🥰 we can't love 'em all! (although, hopefully my oily skin friend will like this one?) Normie sends big kisses! He's snuggling on his daddy's lap right now. We have a fire in the fireplace, and we put him in his blue "sweatsuit" because it's gotten SO cold outside.... which is the perfect combination for him to fall asleep, and snore the day away! 😂❤️)

I wore cream foundations for many years, even when I married in 1988. I was surprised at how this particular foundation made your skin look a bit dry. And it was obvious it wasn't spreading very easily. I wonder if you applied the foundation and let it sit on the skin for a few minutes to warm up, if that would help that issue? These days I am in love with liquid foundations, the thinner the better. But to be honest, it's been such a long time since I even wore makeup.....my tastes might have changed again! 😂 I will also admit that I'm a bit jealous (but truthfully HAPPY for you) that you get to try so many foundations each week. but you do such a fantastic job of showing all the details about each product, Jenny! You are a SUPERSTAR in my book!! Have a wonderful weekend my sweet friend!!❤🩹❤❤❤💋
@foundationlady Жыл бұрын
Thank you dear Patti for your kind thoughts! 🤗 That's a great idea to try letting it sit for a few minutes to warm it up. I'll have to give that a shot next time! It definitely wasn't my favorite cream foundation, but at the same time, I'm glad that they make some versions that are good for my normal/oily skinned friends too. 🥰 I can't win 'em all, but now that I have my channel I don't feel as bad when I try one that doesn't work for me, because at least I know I'm (hopefully) helping someone that has different needs than I do find one they like! I hope you're doing well lovely Patti! Big hugs!! 🤗🤗🤗

I tend to like keeping a cream foundation stick in my purse for touchups while I'm out - I live in Houston, so makeup often melts off my face, no matter what I do to stop it. I just picked up this No7 stick about a month and a half ago, so I haven't used it all that much yet, but what I do know is that the shade is wonderful for me, which is a minor miracle. I'm incredibly, incredibly pale with a neutral -to-SLIGHT-pink undertone (mostly due to a few patches of Adult-Onset Rosacea). It doesn't seem to last the longest on my combination skin, but not much does, so that doesn't bother me so much. I don't like spending too much money on my purse touch-up product, thanks to the aforementioned Houston weather (and the possibility of loss and/or theft - throwing money away is not my idea of a good time), and so far, this one seems to be hitting the spot. Honestly, my better find was the No7 Serum Concealer, thanks to its slightly darker/grayer undertone. It still matches my skin, while still managing not to be brightening, perfect for lower key days. Their pressed powder is also pretty excellent. I still wish I'd gotten to try their Foundation Drops, as I had a friend who raved about them. Ah, c'est la vie.
@foundationlady Жыл бұрын
Hi Terra! 🤗 First off, I TOTALLY understand what you mean by "Houston weather!" ❤️❤️❤️ My family members live both in/near there so I go several times a year (I grew up in San Antonio! ) Man , do I miss Texas and the amazing barbecue, sweet tea, breakfast tacos that melt in your mouth... wait... I just realized everything I mentioned was food related... I also miss my family! 😂) With all that said, I do not miss the 100+ temps or the humidity! In fact, I did a video on Carpe (the stuff you wear on your face to keep it from sweating) and I waited until I was going to visit my parents so that I could REALLY put it to the test! Second, I LOVE No 7 foundations for the specific reason you mentioned! The SHADES! They are one of the few foundation companies that "gets it" when it comes to pale undertones! So many companies offer formulas that are waaaaaay to peachy/pinky for fair skin tones, in my opinion. So I'm so glad that you found something that's good to throw in your purse for those quick touch ups! Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts with me! I really appreciate your comment. Hope you're having a great start to your week! 🌷

Love nr. 7! Indeed, great undertones. My pale face matches great with Calico. But I think I could make cool Vanilla work, too. Love their consistency in shades and shade names. I have not tried this stick, I'm not drawn to foundation sticks in general. But I do love this brand. Thanks for reminding me of them. I tend to forget them, because in my country you can only get this in the pharmacy, not in the drugstore.

I really like No7 products ❤ I love the renew serum foundation (the one with the red writing on the pkg) and the pressed powder too. I also have the waterproof mascara and I like that as well. I think I’ll be skipping this one. My skin is dry as it is so I don’t think I would get along with it. I am loving the ulta beauty stick foundation right now though! Creamy and blendable. Luckily No 7 is pretty consistent between their shades in their foundation lines, so if you feel like the stick would be too drying, they have a really great hydrating foundation I'd be happy to share with you if you're interested! But just speaking strictly of stick foundations, I find the Maybelline Fit Me stick foundation to be much more comfortable on my skin in general. OR... one of my subs just told me that she applies a hydrating primer oil first (Smashbox makes one as does Neutrogena) and she said it helps this stick glide on like butter! I haven't tried it just yet, but I thought I'd pass it along! ❤️
