Saw the movie today. Ugly cried so many times watching the young man’s journey, and his mothers heart, and all the prayer warriors, and the many strong men that came around and taught, and lifted up this young man. The church is in desperate need of strong, faithful men to be role models for the younger generations.

@wearesaltlight Keep praying and have faith. I was lost in the world and on the streets at that age, but because of the continuous prayers of my mom and grandma, I'm married with five kids and have a family that's walking with the Lord. I'm not saying this to boast, but to encourage you to continue to have hope. There were times I didn't think I would make it past 25, but God...and I'm now 40. If he can change my life because of my mother and grandmother's prayers, he can do the same for your son through your prayers. I'll be praying for him as well 🙏🏾.

I know what you mean Allen. I was so lost after I went to college. My life became full of personal pleasure and my emptiness so evident once I returned home after graduation. I had no direction, but chasing women and getting up to go to my job the next morning. It wasn’t until the summer of 2020 when the George Floyd protests and the Covid shutdown happened. I was walking through Walmart when a guy working in the electronics department struck up a conversation with me. He was a believer in Christ. He told me the reason all of this chaos is happening in our country is because we need to return to God. To this day I remember that conversation. I walked away from that part of the store, never thinking the same. I was unsettled because the state of my soul was bad. I truly believe God used him. It was a simple conversation with a wayward young man, planting a seed which eventually led me to your channel and my salvation later that summer. You know sometimes it may not be you specifically as the one who disciples that young person. Maybe all you need in that moment is to obey God and strike up a conversation. You never know, as that moment may be what is needed to break the ice for the right mentor figure to step into their life.

I tied a lot to but was very uplifted. Every child in this country should be required to watch this. Praise the Lord

I expected a cheesy movie but dang this was excellent. I should have brought tissues. I’ve been iffy about some Kendrick Brothers’ movies but they knocked this one out of the park. I saw it on a Saturday and the next day when I went to church, the sermon was all about discipleship and discipling one another. ❤

I had never heard of the Forge until I watched it with my mom. Cried so much and have such a strong desire for discipleship. And coolest part was that a pastor at my church taught about discipleship Sunday, right after i had watched the movie. So cool!

saw it twice, once with my girlfriend and the next day we took our husbands. So inspiring, our men's ministry took a group of men. Its moving like fire among the people. All Glory to God.
