Tip if using a controller - go into the advanced controller settings and set the deadzones to 0 and outer zones to 100 for brakes and gas. Not sure why you’d want a delay on the triggers and not want the full range of their motion to control the car. I also did the same with the steering deadzone (set to 0) otherwise it just feels delayed when turning 👍
@Elwaves2925 Жыл бұрын
I personally prefer the steering deadzones at 5, at least I have in all other Forza games. That slight change helps a bit if you're a little heavy handed when turning. It's not enough to feel delayed but stops it feeling too light. 🙂

a deadzone for the controller is in my opinion (and in my case) pretty useful. FE: my controller has a slight drift that i started noticing while playing stafield and in starfield there is no deadzone setting so my characters would sometimes keekp walking or looking around. now with a deadzone i can fine tune it so my car in forza wont slowly creep to the left or right on the straight.

A big issue I had in 7 was the bot difficulty at max difficulty being oddly faster than the player can make the same car go. I would tune a car as much as I could squeeze out of it and yet the slower car somehow passes me which just baffles me. A shame forza glue is still there as that also felt unjust when the aggressive AI would ram me in a corner to keep a line, and a shame the AI seems to act just like the forza 7 ones with the skill packs in races where its always two ahead and 4 or so far behind that slows down when you finally pass them. Also agreed that Forza edition cars shouldnt be a thing and just let us decide if we want a body kit or not. Also one day for sure we will get bumpers and fenders and wings falling off again, one day.
@thatguyanderson Жыл бұрын
Not really sure what you mean by "let us decide if we want a body kit or not"? All of the Forza Editions are just alternative versions cars that already exist in the game, hence the name. You absolutely can decide if you'd like to use the forza version, with a body kit, or the regular version, which does not. And as for what was said in the video, implying Forza Editions somehow takes away from the car list, that's just a bit ridiculous, especially considering its just a variant of an existing car.
@gigacream5830 Жыл бұрын
@@thatguyandersonbut…it does take away from the car list… yes it’s just a variation of the car, but it should not be an entirely separate car and should just be a variant we can choose from when using the normal car. Realistically it barely takes away from the car list but it still does nonetheless. I think that’s what home boy is trying to say. The game kinda encourages you to use FE cars considering it gives a boost to credits, xp, etc when using it.

I kinda like the level system, however if you buy 2 of the same car it should be whatever level the first car is. I’ve always had a progression issue with Motorsport after FM4. After 2 months of the game I’d have all the cars I want and I wouldn’t progress through the game. This makes me want to play the game and have a progression that makes you work for what you want. With the customization I feel like if you level up to a certain level everything should be unlocked, kinda like MW3 and BO2 back in the day with prestige.
@xxsupermanxx567 Жыл бұрын
The level system is really bad. The progression is way to slow. There’s 500+ cars in the game it shouldn’t take 3 hours to level up a car. I wanna use a bunch of cars but I also don’t wanna grind my life away to upgrade them. AR12 made a video and it took OVER 24 HOURS of gameplay to level up 13 cars to 50. Who in there right mind is going to wanna play a game that much for such little progression.

I gave this game a strong 3/10. My disappointed in the development in the game is that it is now iteration #8. There is no heat soaking, no ecu tuning, no reliability/degradation to the vehicle, upgrade a 200hp engine to 400hp and do a million hours at lemans with no engine failure, and just so much more that would remotely give you the sense of realism when building a track car or racing the car on track. I'm not saying over do it, but add some realism to the game - the true motorsport. As far as upgrade goes, I do wish Forza and GT took a chance a bit more and by that is expanding on the typical 3 stage builds. I would love to see that when you click on Engines>>>Turbo>>Compressor>3stages, Turbine>3stage, Down Pipes>3Stage, Intercooler>3Stage, or Wastage>3Stage. With more power you decrease reliability, and that could mean your vehicle will last 3 laps or 15 laps before you see failure.

Gran Turismo only features normal road cars, GT2 (rare), GT3 & GT4 for official online races. I wish there would be more. So I hope Forza will give us more variety. Atleast more in-depth variety like only cars from the 1980-1990s or a certain Manufacturer. I saw in the video you have driven like a Oldsmobile Nascar online? I love your honesty. For me, I drive with a wheel. Shifting is horrendous until you can unlock aftermarket transmissions.. Painfully, you have to slowly let off the gas, slowly push in the clutch, slowly shift, and reverse so you don't rev bomb and upset the car. Frustrating when hard cornering, etc. In no time I had $600k+ and can't buy a transmission to fix the shift time because it's locked behind a car level that takes 30+ minutes to get to; for every car. With that being stated, the physics have stepped up. I get what they were going for but hopefully they abolish the car level system. I hope they re-evaluate it.. until then I've refunded.

From what I've played so far, the game feels really good on controller. The multiplayer format is also really nice tbh. It's a good thing for me, because that's legitimately all I needed out of the game. For single player, it's very tedious. I expected it to be, and it's hard to ignore. The upgrades being locked by level is absolutely braindead. I don't know who thought of it, but they need to be fired. I think the money will be fine over the long term, but they should still up the amount of money you get. I hope the community pressures T10 into making these sorts of changes sooner rather than later.

My concerns over upgrading are why I've decided to go with a month on GamePass, instead of buying it at launch. That's a first for Forza with me. Terrific game, super fun. I'm 20 hours into it, and I love it. I play the Builder's Cup solo career and the Rivals mode. I dont play online tournaments, but the game needs a permanent internet connection all the same, unfortunately. I recommend a wired connection rather than wireless, as any data interuption might cause the game to get stuck when loading a race. I've felt connected with every car I've driven so far. It's like I'm one with the car, feels amazing. The control is very good with a regular controller. Cars are responsive and physics feel great around corners. I don't have a wheel, but I might end up getting one just for this game for an even higher sense of involvement. Improving your car level and pilot level feels rewarding. The more you drive, the better your drive around the tracks, the more points you get and the faster you evolve as you get access to more performance parts and upgrades, which unlock progressively. You need to work your way to the top, and you become a much better driver in the process. I'm at difficulty 5/8 and choose to start the races from the last place on the grid for a bit of challenge. I win all the races with relative ease, so I might need to raise the difficulty to 6/8. Graphically, I don't like the lack of colours under certain lighting and weather conditions, it all looks washed out, and kind of misty a bit too often. On a clear day, tracks can look great, though. The overall muted colour palette around tracks doesn't apply to cars, which show more vivid colours. Why have Turn10 chosen to go desaturated beyond realistic, I wonder? Maybe a stylistic choice. I don't care for ray tracing. I find it pointless. Would rather dedicate resources to other aspects of the game, like AI. In real life, there are far less reflections than what RT is trying too hard to emulate. No such thing as a mirror effect everywhere in the real world, except perhaps on a rainy day and a wet road. I do appreciate 60fps, makes a huge difference compared to 30fps, which to me is bordering unplayable and doesn't belong in this console generation. I dont see the point of offering this option in a 12 Tflops system, to be honest. I noticed something I didnt like in the replays. When braking before the bends, it shows the wheels strangely locking up in the replay despite driving with ABS on, and the brakes dont turn red as they heat up. Looks bad, especially when the wheels stop turning. The choice of cars is great as it is, but a bit more tracks would be nice. Turn10 say they're working on those, we shall see. Overall, for what I personally value in a racing game, this is a blast. It strikes the perfect balance between arcade and simulation, and you can easily tweak it one way or another with the aids. I give it a solid 9/10, despite the very muted colour palette, small glitches and required permanent connection to play solo, which in the end don't weigh that much in the scales to me.

Point to note is that when the sun sets in real life it is literally over a few short mins, and sped up 24x I'm pretty sure it would look almost instant.

i also thought that but its like a split second. if u have 60 minutes it should take 1 minute to get darker before pitch black

I haven't had a racing game for a while and thought I'd give this one a shot. I'm not a particularly good player of racing games but I've enjoyed this one, especially online. The practice and qualifying give players (like me) a chance to refresh and practise that crucial first turn. For me it's always been about surviving the first corner after starting nearer the back of the grid. The way this game punishes sloppy driving makes me smile. Even though I get punished often enough. I think this game is here to get people back into racing games rather than please you guys that are 8 seconds a lap faster than us lot 🙏 See you on the track.

If they wanted to add car leveling, my reccomendation would be letting us level up with the manufacturer instead like the old games, that way, you only have to level up one car with the manufacturer. You can still upgrade all their cars freely, but you don't have to re level up a second car. It encourages the player to keep using the manufacturers cars, and could be a way to show off which manufacturer you like the most and put time in the most. It's still tedious, but it's a little bit of a better alternative if they want to keep this progression system.

That would be nice. I tend to naturally stick with my favorite manufacturers anyway
