My Honest Thoughts on Berserk Ch 365/366...

Berserk is back baby. Guts vs Griffith at last. I'm happy to see its continuation and all the hard work Mori and Studio Gaga are doing. I still want to see how things develop from here but it was a good day to be a Berserk fan.

I think my biggest criticisms were probably the pacing and how there were a few times that it was difficult to tell what was going on. It was definitely missing that Miura touch in a few ways, but I really do think that everyone did an amazing job with the chapters! I know they are pouring their hearts into it and I'm grateful! The way I see it is, if nothing else, we should get to see at least the overall idea of how the story was supposed to end up. Even if it's not perfect. I'll be sticking with the story until the end!

disagree on the pacing but agree on the fact that a fair amount of panels took me way too long to realise what was happening because of how confusing they were.

The pacing was well, the usage of panels were fair, but from the looks of it, Miura taught his assistants well, and they will evolve with time!

There's alot of people who are disappointed with the new chapters, I feel like a quality drop in the pacing/art is a given but is it really worth dropping the series just because the art isn't impeccable? As long as they respect and adhere to Miura's vision I fully support them. Also they are going to be releasing Bi weekly apparently which is a tall order hopefully they don't fuck up and take their time :)

Nah fuck the criticisms. This is MASTERCLASS. Imagine trying to imitate the GOAT MANGAKA and being not too far off? This art better than Black swordsman arc and early golden age. But anyways there's no need for words in this part because fuckin FEMTO is here. It's KILL ON SIGHT.

Since he can't cut Griffith, I'm starting to think that the Dragon Slayer is getting an ugrade, probably from Elf Island's blacksmith. A God Slayer.

I did notice that the sword was able to slice a strand or two of Griffiths hair in one panel, so there's a tiiiiiiiiiiny chance that he can do damage to him but there are too many unknowns right now

Well, it cuts on a physical and astral level, so, if anything the upgrade will be drowning the dragon slayer in more and more and more and more and moooooore apostle blood til he can finally mount that femboy’s head on his wall.

i think the art will get better. just like how miura improved over time. i actually liked the roughness of the art as it felt like miura's early art and is a good way to symbolise berserk going back to being dark like it once was

I agree with everything you said in this video. However, as for the art thing I think it's something I can get over since the art styles of manga always evolve. Berserk looks a lot different now than it did during the black swordsman arc. It's kind of like comparing the different art styles of each different part of Jojo some parts are slightly different while some are really different. I feel like in time we will go back and look at this art style change as the era of Kouji Mori. I think its still very good it's just different. I would've loved to see Kentaro Miura's version of berserks ending as does everybody but I'm really happy with this.

Hey, I think Guts actually managed to "hurt" Griffith, after he swings for Griffith's head there's a panel where you see the Dragon Slayer got a thread of hair off of Griffith's head I believe, given enough apostle blood, the Dragon Slayer will be able to kill Griffith I can actually see Guts slashing trough Griffith at the end of the story and Griffith being too self assured to see the Dragon Slayer is a real threat until it's too late

Agreed. I also have a slight theory that guts wasn't at his "full power" during the attacks because he wasn't fully enveloped in the armor, there could be some boost to his ability to hurt astral beings when the OD of the armor fully envelopes him but I'm not sure. That maelstrom energy from Griffith which sharky & farny witnessed made me think that guts has a similar energy when he's in sicko mode with the armor

I thought the 2 new chapter were genuinely like REALLY good. I liked the art more than I liked most of the art in fantasia, and I thought that the pacing was great. Not my favorite chapters of the arc but they are up there
