Best part of traveling is the unique fruits and foods available!! Dried Apricots come sulphured/light or just dried naturally/dark. You tried a Turkish fig - light tan color; dried Black Mission figs are black - or dark blue when eaten fresh. Looks like you had a Prune (dehydrated Plum)? Figs are full of excellent trace minerals, and seeds. Interesting to see the Hazelnuts, sold with skin and also without the skin. Super neat all the languages and cultural recipes of the people you are meeting! It's the hot pepper SEEDS that burn the most. Looks like a great and friendly hostel location!

@@stewthewanderer I hope I would be fun to travel with - most of my travels have been solo, 'cept when growing up with my very cool family (although some siblings tended to bicker on trips and that got tiresome.) What I love about your videos is the things far away are in focus and I can really admire the details! You are so funny, "I just eat it and see what happens"!!!

Eating that fig at market made to understand God's word in Qur'an for the first time: "And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, "This is what we were provided with before." And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally." (2:25) Eating a fig with 'sesame seeds inside and honey as well' for the first time, really sounds as God's promise from Qur'an. :) "You should be eat like normal" [with hands!] 🤣🤣🤣

Better be safe than sorry ! Have you heard of "Brain box ! military technology gadgets stolen from Kosovo, basically low frequency radio microwaves. Even little children have them there for " practicing " on each other. Better check all of your Credit Cards, all of your Bank Cards. They befriend a "friend" and when you are exposed to the Brain box you tell them willingly your PIN Numbers and hand in all of your Bank Cards. And while they "entertain " you , one of them goes to the ATM Machine and rob you blind. You will not remember anything , maybe, till next year. That is Bosnia mate and they are hungry and they steal everything. All of them are one big organized crime ! I can categorically state that ! And the friendships and big smiles are all fake. I was born and bred in Sarajevo, which is not the same anymore. And these are all my experiences with them, let s say that I know what I am talking about. Just be careful and do not give them or show them your Bank Cards. Try to pay everything in cash and do not have a lot of money on you. Believe me, better safe than sorry !
