Novel Synopsis:
In the third year of my marriage to Simon Zhao, he brought a young woman home.
"Melissa, you should learn from these young girls, stop being so dull like a piece of wood."
I calmly shattered our wedding photo and handed him the divorce papers I had long prepared.
"Simon, let’s divorce. I’ll step aside and make room for her."
His friends all predicted that I would end up starving on the streets without him.
Simon thought the same: "Once she’s out there and has had enough of the hardships, she’ll realize how lucky she was to be Mrs. Zhao."
But a week passed, then a month, and I never looked back.
Simon grew uneasy, restless, unable to find peace day or night.
One night, in the depths of his despair, he drunkenly showed up at my new place, banging on the door. "Melissa, you just want money, I’ll give you whatever you want…"
The door opened to reveal a stranger, shirtless, wearing only sleep pants, with fresh scratch marks on his torso.

Melissa has asked for money only a few times to address critical family-related situations, yet he ridicules her as a money grubber and demeans her in front of his friends. After 3 years of marriage, she leaves him and doesn't look back. Melissa and Anthony are a nice equally balanced couple. They treat each other with sincerity, support, and love.

FL is shameless.....treated her husband has an ATM. I am a woman myself and I and anyone else would think this .....she only wanted him for his money. He is only human....he must have felt alot of uncertainty about her real feelings....after all she showed him no affection.😮 Relationship isn't so simple has just breaking up when it suits you....because the other party didn't do what YOU WANT. If you watch until the very end you would find out she was with Anthony prior to Simon, and that Simon was with Diana - Simon lied about being her saviour when it was actually Anthony - Anthony was her true love and her first, as Simon had never touched her in 3 years
