Last question first: You did not do anything to deserve this, none of you did. It is not your fault and you should not feel guilty. Things happen. Make sure both of you give your daughter as much love as she needs, and make sure you heal the would your relationship has suffered. Then, your concern for your biological daughter is understandable and commendable. But be aware that you may also be wounding another family, so be careful and mindful. My thoughts go out to you all.

Which seems very strange too. When my son was born, he was never away from one of his parents and was immediately printed and identified. It wouldn't have been POSSIBLE for the hospital to switch him. Now obviously some hospitals operate differently, and yes, some babies have eye colours that change a bit, but it requires a lot of explanation... a lot more explanation than one faulty test one way or the other.

@@Mereologist two blue eyed parents I don't believe means 100÷ blue eyed baby. I do believe babies can be outside of their parents eye sight when born. I can't remember if my own daughter was or not.

@@JoybuzzerX Sure. I'm not saying it's impossible. I am saying that you could probably count the number of times what she describes as happening on one hand. Meanwhile, the number of people who cheat and then lie about it in public probably numbers in the millions. I know what I'm betting on.

​@JoybuzzerX It's certainly not a 100% guarantee, because of mutations that can happen, but blue eye color is a recessive trait, and it would be extremely unlikely for two blue-eyed parents to produce a child with brown eyes.

It's pretty obvious. All tests can sometimes give false results; so if the woman is sure that she didn't cheat, she should insist on a second test.

I was doing DNA genealogy and discovered that I'm not biologically related to my parents nor am I adopted! Fortunately it is much harder now for mistakes to be made in hospitals than it was back in the 40's when I was born.

It does happen, but very rarely. Not often enough for there to be support groups. You will all need therapy. Find a good lawyer, and good luck.

Why would you want to stay with a man who treats you and your child like that? He's the one who's cheating, but trying to turn it on you so you'll leave. Move out. Get a DNA test. Prove that your child is his. Make copies, and mail one to him, along with a divorce decree. Jerk.

FFS, you need an attorney now! The hospital will have records of all the babies born during the time your daughter was born. You can't get those records without an attorney filing the necessary paperwork. He (or she) will likely have you re-do the tests at an accredited lab just to be sure of the results. Why on earth are you asking Reddit what to do? (Babies being switched is an extremely rare occurrence in the US, if that's where you are. It almost has to be done on purpose.)
