Opie did exactly what she had to do. If her husband hair ones, he would wind up doing it again. How dare he tell her to respect his mother when his mother sure as hell didn’t respect his wife. Just very toxic people. She needed to get her self out and she did.

Martha can't stop critiquing what everyone else does. She needs to critique every mean thing that she says and does to everyone and everything around her. The fact that Adam slapped Tia in front of his mom, his dad, and his siblings shows that she did NOT care who got hurt just as long as she maintains control of everyone and everything around her.

Reminds me of a reddit story of a nursing wife, bullying mil, and the husband (OP). OP's wife was being harassed by mil for years but OP mostly brushed it off. That all changed when mil hit OP's wife, and finally having enough, she defended herself. Then, OP kicked out his mil, his wife, and their baby out so he could "have some space". It was more of a figurative slap than a physical one, but just like Adam, OP made his choice (they got a divorce and OP finally cut off his mom, but it was too little too late to fix their relationship). Some things can't be mended. Once your spouse sides with their abusive parent and/or family member, the marriage is over.

Interference from the (s)mother-in-law is the main cause of divorces everywhere. Serves the villains right. If the (s)mother in law stop butting in their child's life 😤 😑, then maybe they could have a happier marriage 💑 😊 ☺.

If someone is not the child in law they wanted, the parents in law need yo keep their mouths shut. They do not have to like the child in law. They need to be polite. The person their child marries is none of their business. Period.

@amyyaku50225 ай бұрын
I was thinking the same, but based on everyone's reaction, it would've been her word over Adam and mil at least. Or, the rest of the family could side with Adam, thinking OP went too far by calling the police.

These scenarios mostly come from Japan . Family dynamics and cultural norms are very different. While it’s considered illegal if it causes bodily injury, spousal abuse is very common there. Most women don’t report it, just like in many other countries.

Here the police wouldn't show up just because a husband slapped his wife. Not immediately anyway, maybe they would send an officer a few hours later to hear what this was all about.

To those saying should have called the cops. When you're in a situation like that and no one has your back - the cops aren't going to do a thing. It's a he said/she said moment. Especially if the mom and the ex has everyone struck with fear.

Stop using the term "palpable." Get a thesaurus and use a different term. Isn't even used right sometimes. I love the videos just over the word "palpable." 7:21 she says "the relief was palpable." Not a language expert but that really doesn't sound like the correct usage of it. Like I said I love the videos they're short yet detailed and get straight to the point of the story. Keep it up, just please stop using THAT word😂

I am so tired of the words "toxic", "toxicity", ect. They use those words so many times in these things. These people are writers, making up scripts. You'd think they could think of something that was actually original rather than use the moronic fads of the 2020's when describing unacceptable behavior. Oh well, as soon as toxic becomes cliche' they will move to some other word that's fashionable, I guess. 😔
@kgrkid2 ай бұрын
The only thing moronic here is this pile of bullshit you just wrote, Karen! The only reason you hate these stories has to be because you've been the subject of several of these as the toxic one of the story, otherwise you wouldn't be making entitled ass comments like this! Do better, bitch!
