one thing that I caught onto was the fact that the intern situation happened “years ago”. The intern is “25 years his junior”. Assuming she’s 25 years younger than he is. OP’s husband is 47 which means his intern is 22. But if the intern situation happened “years” ago according to Morgan & the story that means it’s possible that the intern was 18-19 when she and OP’s husband first met?! I saw O's husband getting mad at his six year old daughter as him already abandoning *her* in his mind. The post-nup does not mention anything about custody, if they were to divorce while their child was a minor. All that is mentioned is other potential children decreasing what OP would get per year. OP doesn't see his wife and child with her as his family anymore. He sees someone *else* as his family. He doesn't want his daughter to be anything like him. It is harder to walk away from a child you made if you are reminded they are part of you.

I don't think money changes people. It's like alcohol. It lowers inhibitions and amplifies who you really are. He was always an AH, but it wasn't obvious in the beginning because their goals aligned. When it became his benefit for her to only manage the home (instead of equal partnership in raising their child), he belittled her financial contribution and manipulated her into quitting her job. Now he gets to flaunt that he and his money can pull a 25 yr old. Fun fact - he doesn't love the side piece either, not when he's in a deep, committed relationship with himself.

Op need to run. He is preparing for divorce and is planning or already cheating that got he pregnant. The only reason a postnup is valid is when the couple is already divided equally income and both have equal standing or it only effects 1 aspect of asset that is about to come into action. So an inherent (some states force a split of this), a solo business owning, family homes (homes are forced split and pay out even if family in some states), or business related (so a business contract that divided things equal on what was put in)

Go to a lawyer right away. He obviously is looking to leave. The gaslighting is so obvious. If I were her, I would divorce him before I sign a post-nuptual agreement. She needs to put her foot down with certain clause (ie: 10k a year, the dependents, the infidelity), and absolutely not sign. He will continue to pressure and gaslight her, but hold her ground. As far as the post-nip goes I’ve personally considered it hardcore. When my partner and I were looking at certain laws that might come to pass that could affect our future marriage we agreed that if we have to rush and get a courthouse marriage we would do it ASAP and then worry about sitting down with lawyers and going through pre-nup things like we’ve already planned (but obviously after wedding) I’ve also seen a post-nup work like you guys were discussing as a result of infidelity. In that case it was a family friend and the post-nup were terms of keeping the relationship. Like “hey we are going to marriage counselling and we’re going to get a post-nup so I have a safety net in this relationship you’ve already shown you have the ability to ruin” I’ve also ALSO seen them in family friends when one person became a stay-at-home mom. She gave up her career and the family finances changed as well as the dynamic. I don’t know if that was a traditional one though because she also basically wrote out her SAH position like a job contract and worked out vacation and pay and finances. It was honestly awe-inspiring now I’m older and hear so many horror stories like this.
