You can jump back and forth, but you’re in a position where you can do virtually anything you want for your children. If you go back to America and stick Briana in any school, public or private the sharks will eat her alive. It will be an injustice for her to go through such cruel punishment. We homeschooled our children and they wanted to go into the system, so we let them. It was a mistake., they were abused by all the other kids except for a few. We pulled them out until they were able to take their entrance exam for junior college, then on to an accredited college. My daughter was on every honor roll, but she still remained all the hurtful behavior from the kids before. Briana is not your typical 11 year old girl, she looks older and boys are very cruel. Just remember you have sheltered them so keep sheltering them until they can get into a good junior college and then a better college. All my best

Nice introspective video. We did homeschool for two years for our daughter same age as Bria (in part due to Newsom's vx mandate for kindergarten.) Now we all feel that the public school is better for her social growth. And we considered that, while school, even through college, is viable option in Philippines - they likely have a better future in USA. But you are also correct - increasingly Asia (BRICS) is the future and where tech and money are. Challenge moving back to USA is that rents have increased, at least in California. Likely South-East is still affordable. Yes, Biden and Kamala are Obama-nations! (sorry for the pun.)

Thanks for the video! Hey John, I know you guys stayed in Florida for awhile last time you were stateside. I live in the panhandle, a little town called Niceville. 10 miles from Destin, Fl. Our community, primarily the 3 or 4 counties that make up the panhandle region, is about 80 to 90 percent conservative. A totally different experience to that area you guys stayed in last. The school system is much better ran. The public system seems to change a bit depending which party is ruling. My kids went to public schools, but I'm leaning towards sending my granddaughter to a private school. Our good friend had 7 kids graduate from a Christian private school here, and they all are doing well. The classes are only 12 to 15 students, which makes a big difference. Something like that might work for Breanna. Take care and good luck in your travels!

Thank you for trying to answer the question of taking a kid to the PI. As I said in your previous video, the wife and I are moving to the PI in less then 2 years. Our Daughter is 13 and in the 8th grade. I agree, a lot of schools here are getting worse. Private schooling in the PI would likely be fine for her. I live in Texas and the schools in our area are decent and not pushing any far left narratives. Just let kids be kids. Anyhow, my question was more of my daughters future in the PI. Working for 10 bucks a day isn't really a good idea. Of course, over here, who knows what she'll do or were she'll work. If she's working at 7-11 in Texas, then the PI would be a better life for her. While I'm alive, hoping for 25 years+, she will do well under my umbrella. I've got a pension, SS and will sell the house $$ and according to other videos I've seen we will be living the life of a PI Doctor or Lawyer, money wise. Nice, yeah. But, when I'm gone reality will kick in for her. So I need to setup some business such as a restaurant, grocery, internet cafe or farm to stand setup. The gears are slowly turning and the movement is all forward, but we can't really do anything until we get there and find the right location to live and settle down. We hope to bump around the Islands, lots of islands. The wife has family in Bohol and Zamboanga. Some PI cities are modern, but the cost there is like being here. Then there's the kind'a modern or there's always province life. If it were just the wife and I we would be, no worries. Big move and big decisions. Good times ahead. Perhaps we'll meet you v'loggers, so many v'loggers these days. Any other comments from people in the know about the subject are welcome! Thanks again, love your channel and style. Your wife is kind and intelligent as are your kids.

Hey guys. As you know the labour force is globalized. Companies in the Philippines compete globally for western companies contracts. As a result the Philippines government has restructured and continues to improve their secondary and post secondary education programs so that graduates can compete globally. On top of this, western nations are bringing in foreign labor to fill jobs and are removing the protectionism of professional associations. You can put your kids in a semi private school in the Phillipines and then they can do university in the Philippines. Once they get their professional degrees, for some professions, they can then by pass the super competitive and expensive western university professional degree programs like pharmacy, nursing, law and social work and simply either write a test or do a bridging program to become a professional in a western country. Plus your kids won't receive the indoctrination, possibly dangerous drug/gang environment and huge post secondary costs that exist in US schools. You may need to move to Cebu but the developing world is a much better place for people to grow up and get a professional degree. Just some food for thought.

The department of education in the US is so corrupt and the schools have gone down hill so bad I don't think they can recover, I don't worry here about kids bullying , Shootings . Drugs or teaching my child that they can change their gender Maybe La Salle does not have to use the Dept. of Ed. in Manila. to determine what grade you stat in. They are a Private School . My sister moved to a high end area of Ashevill Nc so her son could go to a high rated public school and it got so bad with Drugs and Violence she put him in private school. Good Luck,

There's a lot of choices where to send your kids in the Philippines than in USA. There are plenty of prestigious schools of your choice money can afford. Your children can start from kindergarten to college in the university of your choice. There are exclusive schools for girls only and boys only. I am from a sleepy little town of Dinagat Island. We are 7 children in the family. The oldest went to high school and college in the University of the Visayas in Cebu. I went to college in USP in Cebu. The third one was a government scholar in Javier University in Cagayan de Oro. After college he landed a job in the NBI records section and later transferred to BIR. I graduated high school in the sleepy little town, spoiled brat growing up and hated to go to school. My grades from elementary to high school was just enough to passed. I graduated high school at 16 and some how I realized that I have to grow up. I enrolled myself in college in Cebu City. At 16 I had a chief of police and a policeman fired from the job for vandalizing my father's cockfighting arena in my hometown. I came to USA and become a US citizen all in my own, no lawyer. I had a perfect score in my citizenship exam. I had no interview before I got sworn in because the embassy said that they have no doubt that I could speak and write English. I'm in and out of US Courts from DWI, speeding ticket, eviction, wrongful job termination, divorce and child custody. I've succesfully got a green card for my second husband who's been illegal immigrant in USA for 19 years with an arrest record for domestic violence. Imagine that. I am the only person in USA Social Security history that filed and won SSDI case without medical records. I didn't even showed up on the hearing. The judge called me and talked to me and approved my case. I'm fully retired at the age of 55 complete with Medicare. No one can ever do what I did. I filled out the SSDI applications and appeals forms in just seconds because all questions are about doctors, medicines and health. I got none of that. So I just wrote n/a (not applicable) and signed.

There are thousands of professional Filipinos are working overseas. My sister got her dentistry in Manila, and passed the Canadian Board for dentistry. She’s a professional dentist in Vancouver. My sister-in-law, a graduate of the University of the Philippines Pharmacy in Quezon City, did not take a review yet also passed the Canadian Registered Pharmacist in Toronto, she manages 3 nursing homes and also the registered pharmacist for Walmart in Toronto. My brother is an electrical engineer and works for google company also in Canada. In short, a good education depends on the student receiving the knowledge and how the student will apply the knowledge to his/her profession in their job. The principles, theories and scientific knowledge are the same everywhere. My advice for the parents is: Always be there for the student, guide them, remind the student of their educational goal, support the student emotionally especially, because college is brutal! Peer pressure, love affairs, rigorous work, sleepless nights, sometimes eating disorders too.

In looking at my upcoming move Property tax & available home insurance is big if you are considering to buy. Broken record here but until Bri learned the local language she was isolated in general communications with peers. In Alaska I went to a village where English was second and experienced the isolation because of not knowing the language spoken. Some home schooler begin college age 16 so in 5 years could be Bri. Examine colleges in USA via google so she won’t have to leave home to study. State politics & finance is vastly different and coming out lately. But I'm so glad and happy you're listening to your daughter her wishes and desires should be what's Paramount as far as we're concerned I've been married 48 years to the same Filipino we lived in the Philippines for 5 years and raised four daughters... Schools will be schools your child your children would be much better off going to school in the United States until they graduate high school then they'll let them decide what they want to do.. the video we enjoyed because it shows your loving caring parents and you want the best for your children the Philippines will be there in 6 or 7 years when your children are older and have experienced the United States school system and have pretty much have a path of what they love in the passions they have and they want to pursue and as parents all we want to do is support them physically mentally financially if needed.. whatever your guys's decision is it's nice to see husband and wife love their children so much and care about their desires at such a young age keep up the good work and I hope whatever decision you to make for your kids is the right one time will tell stay safe and happy... Healthcare is not walk in the park in the philppines, my daughter and wife are in the Philippines at the moment, she went to kindergarden in the USA and now in First grade in Private school in the Philippines....I'd say they are very comparible, the teacher to student ratio is much better here in the Philippines in private school. Our daughter appears to be ahead of the kids at her age. But with this said, I do think that the public shcools in the USA are better. I'm all for Trump this year....so will see.

Tuition fee in Pinas, Briana can get bachelor education in a prestigious school in high school and college not paying an arm and a leg. Like here in America, u go to college students already in debt due to high cost of education. If u live in Makati or Manila, you can send Briana in American international school or other international school. Please, educate yourself about our country. We have so.many teachers and nurses educated in pilipinas, cane to US to earn dollars not to study. No place on earth that u can get very good education not paying thousand of us dollars and Filipinos goes in different part of the world because of education they got in pilipinas, coz we can speak English and work.more dollars in US. US education becoming liberal and leftist. Please, don't settle yourself in dumaguete for Briana. She can go to University of the Philippines, ateneo de manila, La salle and many more exclusive private school that u will not pay an arm and a leg. Let her finish her education there, and come to US to work not to study. I graduated in university of the Philippines as teacher, came to US to work. Read this! Yes, she can go to American International School in Makati. Research it please...holy moly!

Why do you think so many illegal immigrants are selling everything they own, break the US immigration laws to try and get into the US? Apparently you have not spent very much time if any in the PI to see what poverty looks like. When the average clerk that works at a SM store has to have 2 years of college to work there I would say opportunities are pretty limited especially for those who can't afford 2 years in a college. As for all the illegal immigrants that have invaded the US, I will be glad to see them deported.

Your thinking fails me: K/W have no intent or skill to negotiate settlement of Ukraine war. Biden cheerleads it, and Kamala's statement "Ukraine has the right to join NATO" was a factor in starting it. 500k innocent dead. K/W oppose freedom of speech. K says that "X should be shut down unless her government can censor and regulated it - as Zuckerberg reports that they did to FB. K/W oppose deporting even illegals that commit crimes, and Biden intentionally opened the border to 12 million sham asylum seekers - including violent gang members. K/W MO seems to be, take away guns from Americans, defund the police, protect illegal crimes with sanctuary cities - and let the illegals purge the evil free-thinkers for a people more easily controlled and manipulated. K/W want massive tax increases on corporations, which will drive them out of USA similar to how high taxes are driving wealthy and businesses out of California. Kamala is proud to be "woke" which includes DEI hiring based on race rather than merit. Woke includes biological males in females sports and restrooms. K/W may declare a "climate emergency" which would give the dictator powers over our ability to travel or do anything that has a carbon impact. And unlike the Democrat covid emergency "airlines fire your pilots," this emergency would never be lifted.
