Thank you for the line you wrote: your first love Jesus Christ will never leave you. Its exactly what I needed to hear. I have a theme of abandonment from childhood to current in almost every relationship and its been hard to overcome. I always treasure that Jesus is with me, but the way you phrased it is just how I need to reframe my situation to feel more peace when a relationship ends. I’m not alone, ever.

I think you are better off being away from someone who would be so unkind and selfish. I am sure this is very painful but perhaps God has done you a favor and he will certainly be there to support you as you adjust to the differences he has presented for your growth and benefit.

Praise God for this! I'm in a similar situation, but no kids and other details a bit different. It was painful to deal with in the beginning. But I will say that when I learned that I needed to cling to God for my healing, I have grown and strong now! I acknowledged the rejection and anger I felt and reminded myself in His Word how He loves me. My husband, too, is in a church so I struggled with anger about that, too. I love how Pastor John addressed us having a righteous anger against sin. That is right and I also remembered how God detests the sin we all have. However His love is so great to want us free from it. So I not only have prayed and sought strength for myself, I pray for my husband. I know now that God WILL avenge the justice done against me. It still isn't perfect or easy going through his filing of divorce, but God has shown how He is with me. I have to pull myself to focus on Him and not the bad my husband may be doing even though he's in a church and being a leader. God will avenge. I hold on to Him and move forward to keep growing. I pray for this woman's strength. I pray she gets free from the bitterness that wants to overtake her. I pray she realizes the authority she does have in Christ. I pray her children will know how broken daddy is and that he needs Jesus. I pray for all of us who the enemy has attacked so violently like this. God WILL avenge us. We just need to move out of the way and abide under the shadow of the Almighty God! Hallelujah!

I am so sorry that you and your girls are hurting. I was in a similar situation. You must first realize that the enemy has attacked your family. You now have a big responsibility ahead of you and that is the care and well being of your girls. Pray to our LORD to give you the strength to do what you need to do. You have little girls and you need to turn your attention to them, ask the Holy Spirit to lead you in making good choices especially where they are concerned. Get a good support system, family and friends that you can trust to help you keep watch over your daughters and help with homework, babysitting, etc. Prioritize, set goals and develop action plans for their future. For example a goal may be for them to graduate from a very good college, how are you going to get them there? What ever help your ex can be accept and be thankful. If he can't help move on, don't waste time trying to force someone to help you. There is a court system you can go through to get what you and your daughters are owed from him. My point is you don't have time to waste over your ex. Refocus, you have a big job ahead of you. Don't let the enemy distract you from your daughters future. The good news is that the LORD is faithful.

I would caution you the rather to rethink that. It is rather inconsistent with scripture to 1) make plans for what you expect to happen tommorow and certainly not for the next 5-6 years. Instead of thinking about what they are going to do tell them what they should do. Lead them in the right direction, not yoke them with your decisions. 2) It is inconsistent with scripture to extort money from people to the end that they lay you what they owe you. That applies to Christian and non-believer alike. For example, the Apostle Paul spoke of how the Corinthians, instead of suffering wrongfully in patience toward the hand of God and people.
@aprilwhite1794

@@xavierthomas5835 you are not correct. You think we shouldn't make plans for children to go to college? That is an example that I gave. And you must have missed where I advised that she should let the holy spirit guide her. You think she should not expect their father to help financially with their future? You don't think that if he doesn't pay his child support she should not entertain the thought of begging or fighting for it to just let the courts handle it. I stated that if she was in need, (that would mean anything other than child support, ask him but if he declines move on), she should ask him for more support. You call taking a parent to court to make them pay child support extortion? Do you not know that the LORD told David that he would not be the one to build his house? He said that David's son Solomon would build it and Solomon wasn't even born yet. Have you not read this verse? 'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.'” - Jeremiah 29:11 Please read you Bible again, it's full of Gods plans.

@xavierthomas5835 2 жыл бұрын
@@aprilwhite1794 In all of where you speak of God's plans for Solomon, where did you see or read or hear about him telling his son to build the house of the Lord? He built it because God put it on HIS heart not his father's heart for him. The point God puts to you still stands, that we should tell our children paths they SHOULD go in rather than explain to them how they have to go about things and what they are going to do. Only God can make a child go in any direction he wants and simply tells us the path we shall walk. Secondly, you yourself have neglected the reading of scripture because you have not told me one scripture where God would tell you to take someone to court to make them pay what they owe. Yet, I can tell you at least 3. I've given one already, here another. Christ speaks of the parable of the servant who, rather than forgiving his fellow servants debt, makes him pay the full amount with hard labor. The next would be where Christ himself tells us we need to give expecting nothing in return and let others borrow from us asking not again for that which they have borrowed.

Even more than this, there is already a many Scriptures that tell you to lean on God for you provision and to trust him and to wait on him. What about all the promises of where he will be a Judge of widows and a father to the fatherless? Have you forgotten when he spoke of helping you with all your necessities every day so long as you live? His sufficiency does not pass away but the world is passing away.

@@xavierthomas5835 tell that to the homeless and abused children. I believe in every word uttered out of the LORD'S mouth, but obviously we are misinterpreting some of his words. How can you compare King who has everything to a single mom who is asking for help? Your example is regarding forgiveness not child support. Go tell Moses and Solomon they were wrong for listening to the people when they had conflict among them. Tell God he was wrong for the whole book of judges in the old Testament. We are all sometimes incorrect on our interpretation of the Bible and I'm saying your interpretation in this situation is off.

I completely agree with Pastor John that the wickedness of his actions shouldn't be minimized. Of course, according to their understanding and without slandering him but just describing things as they are. Sometimes, a parent might try to hide the unpleasant information in order to protect them, but that's just robbing the children from being able to overcome the full situation as it is.

I'm deeply sorry for this hurt. May God give you the strength to endure. He won't give you what you can't handle, and perhaps using this to draw him to you. I have been reading so much of this online lately. Satan breaking up families, and our men (1st line defense) are becoming very weak minded. I don't understand how a person could leave their family, but people do. He will regret his decision one day, and I wouldn't take him back. Stay strong, focus on your children and God bless.

My ex wife was cheating around on me all the time. The last and final time she was working abroad and was supposed to have come home at a certain time and didn’t. She had actually come back to the states and was vacationing with the guy she had been having an affair with, while the whole time I was working and coming home taking care of our 4 kids. After the divorce she did her best to lie to our children and say it was all my fault. She succeeded with the two oldest. They have nothing to do with me for the past 18 years now. They got married and I wasn’t invited, they have children and I can’t see them. So I know the evil of the destruction of the family by a cheating spouse and the long term effects it has unfairly on me. I often wonder why God doesn’t do anything? All I can say is one day they will all know the truth.

There is no sexual intercourse in heaven because men and women will not marry or remain married to each other there (Matthew 22:30). Because we do not marry there, it also means we do not have sexual desires there. There is no childbearing or the desire for it in heaven because God will give everyone a name and place better than sons and daughters (Isaiah 56:4-5). Marriage, which is sexual intercourse, is a form of this world that will pass away (1 Corinthians 7:27-31). Earthly marriage is a representation of our union with Jesus in heaven and this will be infinitely better (Ephesians 5:31-33). Hell is forever and your body will be concious and burned with fire and infested with worms for eternity, and there is no sexual intercourse or childbearing there as well (Mark 9:48).

It doesn't say that he didn't forgive them though. He acted wisely, by "giving them over to Satan" (which in this case seems to be something resembling an exiling from the church) in order to keep the church away from harm. And notice(!), Paul says that the purpose is so that "they may be taught not to blaspheme"; meaning Paul was hoping that the suffering of this ordeal would eventually lead them to Christ!!! Forgive! But forgiveness does not mean forgetfulness.

Brother Piper I have a question I’ve had for a LONG time: As a born again Christian who struggles with sin I have researched deeply into specifically 1 John 2 and 1 Colossians 5 Yet I’m confused by the teaching of Jesus in Matthew 7:17-18 about a good tree not being able to produce bad fruit and a bad tree not being able to produce good fruit. I know I’m saved by faith alone and that works are simply an expression of my new nature. But what exactly is bad fruit? And if I sin does that mean I’m bearing bad fruit and therefore I’m not a good tree?? And if so then how can 1 John 2:1-2 be explained if this is the case? Thank you!!❤️

"My Husband Left Me - How Do I Respond?" (Sorry for the extremely long "comment". But I believe it NEEDS to be said) Kind Sir...it's dead wrong for ANY man to leave his wife; Unless SHE commits adultery. But Moses said; they COULD divorce "her"; for any thing they saw unclean in their wives. But Jesus called that a LIE; in no uncertain terms in... Deuteronomy 24:1 When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. Matthew 19:8 Jesus said unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so! (proving that bibles DO have lies in it. And untold verses are LIES Gem to Rev too! Believe it or not!) This means: that NO man can leave or divorce their wife; UNLESS she commits adultery. And remember; Jesus espoused that NO woman could leave OR divorce her husband for any reason! Regardless what he did. ONLY men could divorce her; and ONLY for her adultery. For that is Jesus' commandments. Believe it or not. Don't blame men! Matthew 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for cause of her adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery, also. Now this: Jesus also said in... Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. Notice "thy husband shall rule over her!". And when have we ever seen any woman that obeys that commandment from Jesus (who IS God) in the last 6,000 yrs? Huh? Thus, I am asking this lady, "WHY did he leave you?" Huh? And you should often; think about the above with deep and sincere prayer to Jesus . For IF every woman would have (very few ever did) obeyed Jesus' commandment; more husbands would NOT leave them' and/or divorce to boot. For we've seen: that much more than once. Where SHE takes EVERY thing from him. And she always gets the kids? Why? For the "seeds" of LIFE; come from only the male. For the female ONLY provides "nutrition"; to keep that precious "life" alive*, until birth. Huh? Think about it! End of Story and I rest me case... ...In any case kind Sir, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN! * This proves that the "Living" Sperms from the male; (through "intimacy") unto birth means: "Life" was IN the male already. Thus any Abortion (except for the females life): is Premeditated, "Cold-Blooded" MURDER! Believe it or not! AMEN! And may Jesus have mercy...

From my lifetime experiences you’ve overly simplified and reduced ALL THE FACTORS INVOLVED. My (Former, Ex,Out) in-laws by Restraining Order (We stayed married (43 years) until her death last year) told me “why don’t you divorce her and find someone healthy to marry” and this was from a Preacher’s Wife! They were hiding the facts of grievous childhood abuse of the Leviticus 19:29 NIV [29] “ 'Do not degrade your daughter by making her a prostitute, or the land will turn to prostitution and be filled with wickedness. Nature involved. Seeking total and complete control over her and our child with me out of the way. Oh yeah and be able to remind her all the days of her remaining life “what a totally incompetent, failure, miserable, totally incapable, lazy, no good for nothing wife and daughter YOU ARE”! This was totally convoluted and with damaging results. We survived, however looking back we were both robbed by them in our relationship as husband and wife, and as parents, on so many levels. You shall know them by their fruits, question is how to catch it early enough to reduce the damage, however that may not be soon enough… By the way her heart was ALWAYS centered on first loving God with her whole being and loving me second,as is proper. All things considered she fought to be a good wife and mother to our child, and a Godly lady, wife, and mother. Sweetheart I miss you and look forward to seeing you in heaven. Thank you for your example of Revelation 12:10-11 NIV [10] Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. [11] They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

@John 3:19 This world has trials and tribulations. As wacky as it was and is Christians have been victims of human trafficking, incest, occultic rituals, and so much more. No I was not sending her away to give her over to her family to silence her God-given testimony. Trial-some yes, Oh do I have lots to answer for in all of this, that I will give an account for, no doubt. Revelation 12:10-11 NIV [10] Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. [11] They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. Revelation 12:12 NIV [12] Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.” These were her favorite verse when we were dating but understood much later in our marriage. Narcissists love to throw the love and honor your parents practically unquestioned at the child or children however the Bible states: Leviticus 19:29 NIV [29] “ 'Do not degrade your daughter by making her a prostitute, or the land will turn to prostitution and be filled with wickedness. This is directed back at the parents and extended family members as well. Or this is the results of your actions as parents.

@John 3:19 I appreciate what you have stated here. I’ve butted heads with Christians so many times over this and I’m unapologetic about it now after a lifetime of living it.
