True! She's Top Model, seems very sweet and loving. She was his trophy wife, and she was doing to him--but his "love" for her was about HER being perfect and how she made him feel. It was about her performance and what she did for him. When she "failed" by not sending him enough packages while he was in Afghanistan, he didn't tell her how he felt, or told her how much the packages meant to him, he just X'd her out of his heart bc she was no longer perfect. I see no way for him, or anyone, ever being able to trust him again. I hope his beautiful wife recovers her self-esteem and finds an honest, faithful man who truly loves and appreciates her.

Dr. Phil hit the nail on the head. He is traumatized. And it may well have been because of what happened in Iraq. If he can work with someone to heal those wounds and really look at himself, he may be able to handle a relationship with one woman. Maybe not, but I noticed that when Dr. Phil said he was "damaged" that he got a tear in his eye. He was mortified being up there in front of America. You have to give the guy credit. He stuck it out to the end. I hope they can fix the marriage and that he can work on himself. Mostly I hope that they get someone who does some sort of Energy Psychology because it's the best way and the fastest way to heal trauma. Other than having an epiphany, a spiritual awakening, I don't think anything else really works without something like psychedelic drugs, maybe.

As a counsellor I find myself wondering what Pablo's upbringing was like. His ego strength has been shattered and he is utilising an external locus of control - relying on positive feedback from others rather than being able to genuinely value himself and be able to give himself in relationships.
