@@luteydog I got flashbacks as my mom was very much like her but more vulgar with her words toward me, I had to move 50000miles away to get peace. She passed away and I feel very guilty I wasn't there and feel releif. I stop having night terrors, grinding my teeth and feel less anxiety. I also found out I was adopted after she passed, that too was a relief that I don't have any of her blood in me.

Dora is not gonna change because in her mind she has done nothing wrong putting a phone bill in your child name is fraud and a crime but yet she still trying to justify it. She IS!! That's the whole point! And THAT'S sick! She thinks people will only be interested in her as a person, when she tells them her medical history. In reality, most people will be turned off by that kind of stories. She has also NO idea of what's appropiate or not; SHE might have gotten used to all those extreme terms and their graphic nature, but obviously gave it no thought, that she's on a well watched show, where some things should be a bit more discrete, or subtile. After all, it's NOT a medical show. Having a OTT religious methodist mother, probably didn't help either. The whole christian faith is based on suffering. Suffering alledgedly is "good" for you. It "cleanses". This is of course BS. The only thing suffering MIGHT accomplish, is more empathy for others that suffer. MIGHT. I don't think that is applicable here; she's only thinking of herself. On the whole, suffering makes people nasty, cranky, aggresive and resentfull. But of course dr Phil will never, EVER talk about something like that. At least, not in all the episodes I've seen over the years. (I never really "foĺlowed" his career but had moments in time where I'd watch, for a couple of weeks. I have NEVER heard him say anything to critizise religion or the extreme effect it CAN have when it's becoming an obsession).

I do realize that the mom has some serious problems, but they are overlooking the sexual abuse that this woman went through. I was in an abusive marriage and sadly, it changes you. You constantly question yourself. You are desperate, to be loved and constantly misunderstood. It’s like you can’t say anything right anymore which makes you say things wrong eventually, It was confusing to me and I felt lost and alone. Things happen that you couldn’t tell your children and to this day they don’t know. As much as I kept telling this woman “stop talking”, I could understand why she was like that. She no longer feels that anyone has any compassion or love for her and she is begging for love. I didn’t become a hypochondriac, but it does affect you physically mentally and emotionally and I struggled with depression a lot . I wish Dr. Phil just once would have acknowledged the damage that the husband caused, and that possibly could have helped her. She is out there pretty much alone. I’m not saying she’s right or handling things right but she may be at a place where she just doesn’t know what to do. I have a hard time judging her because I don’t know what’s going on inside her mind, but I’ll guarantee there is a lot of confusion and a lot of pain.

The Mother misses her daughter and Grandchildren! Many seniors LIVE just to spend time with their famimy, especially their Grandkids! It’s the Best Part of Life, most especially to see, enjoy their life if suffering from much in your own life. They are a Wonderful, Great focus away from self/problems. Note: the Grandmother acted responsibly if the child had trouble breathing & had a high fever taking him to the doctor/ER especially because of covid these days!!!!!

My daughter was diagnosed as having cancer. She had 17 lymph nodes removed from her left groin. While waiting to go back to the doc for post op visits she received a phone call from the doc that misdiagnosed her telling her she never had it to begin with. Now and for the rest of her days she has to deal with lymphoma unnecessarily. She does not consider herself a cancer survivor because she never had it but a survivor of malpractice. I'm grateful she didn't have it but extremely pissed at the misdiagnoses. Moral of the story...always get a second and third opinion.

Instead she stayed with her abuser yet her brain is broken she over thinks everything and wants every to understand and care about her but she is so broke she just pushes them away. She's worried about her daughter clothes in front of her father for good reason he is clear dangerous.

I used to find people’s families for them. I’m a birthMom and after I found my daughter, I just started helping other people find their kids, parents, siblings, etc. I used to play a game with other people I met in that part of my life who also did adoption searches. When Troy Dunn’s old show was on TV, we used to all get online and find who he was looking for on the show before he did. He would act like it took him sooo much time and it was sooo hard…yet we’d find them in 15mins or less lol😂

Every time Mom #1 says something she quickly looks at Leah to see her response. She is ACTIVELY trying to hurt her daughter on national tv. Move on, Leah, at this point, 'Mom' is just an egg donor. Albeit a very emotionally unwell one. She is profoundly jealous of you, in a sick way. As you re watch this, you, too, will be dumfounded at the way she tries to intimidate you and stare you down to try to intimidate you when she doesn't get her way. I would have been LONG gone.

I am in my mid sixties and do not know a single woman who did not have any of these ailments. some 50% of all women have their gallbladder removed. a huge percentage of women complain about fibromyalgia, a condition that has no specific definition or diagnosis. pretty much any ailment this woman complains about, can be alleviated by changing eating habits. puhhhh, just listening to her drains my energy. I know people like that and stay away from them, it's just too exhausting.
