My husband and I share myKZbin account. I started sharing with him almost immediately and he enjoys KZbin but hates the ads. I told him I enjoyed KZbin as well and back 2020 I got the premium subscription because it was too much. I asked if he wanted to borrow my account and he was so excited. I started watching his videos and my videos sometimes but most recently with Mark Narrations. He says it’s the only one without any AI reading it and it’s soothing. ❤

HOA cannot tell you to open your pool to everyone since it would impose liability on the homeowner for possible damages. These HOA's are out of control. Lawyers and engineers need to be consulted, not the power-mad idiots who are often in control.

@drewthistlethwaite8909 in fairness to the handful of good hoa no one's rushing online to brag about them. And it is theoretically possible to set one up in a fair and honest fashion just most people who set them up don't know how or want the power that comes with a bad hoa

@tatkkyo9911 - The problem is that HOAs (at least in the US) don’t have regulations to keep that power in check. Even if I end up in a good HOA, the leader could be replaced by an opportunistic jerk next year.

@Davtwan if tou write the og covenants well you can mitigate the power of the hoa if it ever helps. For example tou can write in that they have no authority over anyone's house unless the home owner volunteers and that to change the rule you need a 100% in favor community vote. But ya I'd avoid them

Filing a pool in the US can cost $2-3K in water fees. The pool would need to be refilled twice. I would sue them civilly for the cost of water and frankly, I would have pursued charges for destruction of property. There's a good chance that filters would also be destroyed, along with the water itself. HOA or not, they can't regulate criminal law.

The husband is the biggest AH here. He keeps a ton of secrets. He didn't tell OP about what Kyla initially said or block her on his own. It's just completely normal to see friends, family, everyone less when you're in a relationship. As long as you don't completely isolate yourself as a couple. He also didn't tell OP Kyla had asked him out.
@katie6731
@katie6731 3 ай бұрын
Or that he saw Joanna when he was in Seattle. With this many lies of omission, I don't see how OP can trust him. He didn't tell OP that Kyla had asked him out when OP directly asked if he had dated anyone in his friend group. He also didn't tell OP that he'd had a conversation with Joanna at the conference, even though he and OP spent several hours playing a video game that same night to catch up. He's intentionally keeping things from her that he should be telling her. If he'd truly thought the conversation with Joanna wasn't a big deal, then it makes more sense for him to have told OP about it while they were gaming. If I were OP, I'd have more questions. How many other times have he and Joanna attended the same out-of-town conferences? Have any of his other friends said negative things about his marriage? What other information has he neglected to tell OP? How can she trust that he'd volunteer the truth about important events? OP isn't much better, though. She straight-out lied to him when he asked how she knew that Joanna had been at the conference with him. Since the conference was two months ago, and it seems like "Joanna" sent the "cheating reveal" texts shortly after the conference, that means OP questioned her husband's fidelity for months without any evidence or having an honest conversation with him. These weird games they're playing don't seem terribly healthy for their marriage.

A lot of cities have ordinances that will dictate the basic rules for the upkeep of your property. Pool story: I think it's really overstepping by the HOA to suggest that someone should open up their own pool for use by the entire neighbourhood. They should have asked the HOA if they would be employing a lifeguard since they thought the pool should be open for everyone's use. It's completely ridiculous. And, how are cameras filming someone trespassing in your backyard infringing on the trespassers privacy. That's BS.

Damn... Kyla is sick. Okay so she didn't like OP. She said the bad things that she said three years ago and seemed to have let it go. If kyla wanted to ruin their relationship it would seem to make more sense to do it before they got married. Kyla spends the next three years dormant. Her secret feelings are found out and then she apologizes to op and then becomes besties with her. Wouldn't it have made more sense to become besties with her and the Beginning so she could ruin the relationship? Kyla then goes through the hassel of faking profile and/or engaging with the ex to set up the husband. It is a ton of work. I'm upset about the poor execution.

Story 1: Before the update, I would say entirely blocking out Kyla is likely going too far given that what she said was based off on something that happened years ago and before OP was married. Based on the reasoning that came from the update, I think there's certainly logic in expressing concerns about that potentially being a rebound relationship. I agree with her husband there, although he needs to be more empathetic of OP's concerns about Kyla's two-faced behaviour towards her. After the update: yeah, that's too fishy. Although, you don't have categorical proof Kyla was involved, best to keep your distance.

The cops in story 2 REALLY dropped the ball. At the very least they could have done something about trespassing into the backyard. Especially when this isn't the first time there has been an issue. Why are problem causes protected more than the victims?

C'mon, the reason Kyla did that shit is obvious. She was hoping OP would believe her husband cheated, they would split up, and then Kyla could swoop in and "comfort" the husband.

As someone with a social learning disability who often is told I’ve said something rude or that my joke was taken the wrong way, I wonder if the husband might’ve been projecting a little in story 1 when he said Kayla was “just blunt & forthright.” I notice they didn’t say anything about *her* having any disabilities. When you’re bad at reading people & get told you’ve been accidentally rude a lot, in my experience, you start to give people the benefit of doubt, assuming *you* must be interpreting things wrong and that everyone else is just as bad with their words as you are. Not saying Kayla wasn’t just being fucking rude. Just saying this might be why the husband never mentioned it before, and why he let something so egregious fly.

Poured vegetable oil into the pool (assuming it was) is no real damage? how about the financial damage to cleanup/replace the water? Im sure that will run into the thousands.

I just want to say, that i think it is weird that people think it is strange for couples to get engaged after only dating one year. I personally got engaged after dating for 5 months and we were married 2 months later. We are still married 16 years later and no signs of divorce in our future. When you know that the other person is the right one for you, you know. I know people who dated for years, had long engagements, got married, and then after 2 years of marriage, they divorced. You don't have to date a long time to know when someone is right for you. I know that this isn't what the O.P. is asking about, but I hear it so often that it bothers me and I hat to rant about it. 😅

Kyla, your psycho's showing, put that away. And as for story 2, no way in hell will I ever move somewhere with an active HOA. Weird ass power trips and made up laws that shouldn't be legal. Absolutely not.

Story 1: I think the husband not telling OP things that others consider important could be explained by the fact that he is neurodivergent. If in his mind these things are unimportant, he genuinely might not even think that OP might still want to know. Like not mentioning that Kyla had previously asked him out - he wasn't interested in her, and he didn't think Kyla was still into him, so why bring it up and possibly make people uncomfortable when it's not relevant? That's just my take, but I think it helps explain the husband's behaviour. I often struggle with telling people important things happening in my life bc I either don't find it that important or I just forget to mention it. I can completely see myself not thinking to mention something like briefly running into an ex (I'd probably forget it happened until someone asked about it) or a friend having asked me out years prior (honestly I get OP's husband not mentioning it, I probably wouldn't think it mattered either)

So Kyla played as Joanna so she could break up OP and her husband so when her husband goes to her for “support” after the divorce she could be rebound. How disturbed do you have to be to use someone else to break two people up so you could “try” and “get” your “shot” with the one you have feelings for?

So likely all Kyla did was improve her disingenuous niceties rather than warm up to OP. Taking advantage of people like that (especially if they had social naïveté and pressure like OP's husband) is just radioactive.

Story 1, I have a bit of a different take. He may very well be telling the truth but, it could be that they don't communicate with phones. It's a plausible deny ability thing.
