My Husky Fell Into Deep Snow! Walking With a Husky After a Snow Storm!

We have found a fabulous clearing! For two days we almost did not walk because of the strongest snowstorm. But then the snow storm subsided and the dogs and I went for a forest walk. First we reached the shore of a frozen lake. The lake is completely covered with a thick layer of ice and snow. My huskies like to run in the open. Then we walked along the shore and entered the pine forest. Such incredible winter beauty was waiting for us there! I am happy to share this beautiful winter video with you! I hope you get the same pleasure as I do from diving into a winter fairy tale.

Well thank you for taking us on your walk in the woods and lake. You had a great time and so did your pups. I would be afraid to turn my two huskies loose here because there are so many other dogs and people in our forest. Also I afraid they might see a deer that they would have to chase. I see you got some kind of radio collar on Olive and maybe Yuki. Are these trackers so you can find them or something else? But with all the deep snow, they will not run far. Again, thanks for the walk in the snow. We are getting snow tonight too.

Thanks! Fortunately, we have places where there are very few people. A large forest and many lakes that freeze in winter. Yes, this is Garmin's GPS collar. It's a convenient thing when you walk in the woods and dogs can run away on the trail of a wild animal.

Autumn (Fall) started on the first of March. Should be a stable time of the year. Friday morning here now, 0808, next two days are in the low 30’s C, then mid 20’s for the next five days. OOO, I'm so jealous!!! That snow, MAGICAL!!!! I love snow, but in Europe (and certainly in Belgium) you hardly get it ;-( I am also extremely jealous that you can keep and cuddle dogs and cats. Because I am really extremely allergic I will NEVER be able to do that, then I will get dangerous breathlessness (suffocation) and that is too risky. And that while I love animals so much! It's so hard, can only keep cold blooded animals or small birds as pets. So we have had a canary for company for many years and although you can't hug it, you get more love from it than many people realize. Would you please give all your animals a super big hug from me? Thank you very much for allowing me to enjoy life and the 'tricks' of the cats and dogs, and that beautiful snow through you. - Question: why don't you use snowshoes (kind of tennis rackets, haha) to walk in (or better: ON) the snow??
