My Hybrid Camera Choice For Photography AND Cinematic Filmmaking

A quick trip into the woods on a harsh winter's day for a spot of woodland photography and filmmaking. I practice filming with my perfect hybrid camera set-up, and have time for some woodland photography too.
My set-up has been fine-tuned over the past few months in preparation for an upcoming 3-week backpacking trip where I'm making a documentary film, as well as shooting photos.

An update about my perfect hybrid set-up for an upcoming epic adventure. Yup, EPIC ADVENTURE. No hyperbole here. I needed to test shooting in ProRes. I also had time for a spot of woodland photography.

That B roll looks nice on my 50" Samsung TV. I think you'll have great quality video to work with. It's certainly going to put my Insta360 stuff to shame 🤣

Thanks Neil, that's good to know. Haven't checked it on my TV yet. That was ProRes HQ 10-bit, output to REC709 for TV. I need to test ProRes RAW 12-bit next, in really low light. That may bore people, so maybe I won't share it on the channel 😂

Haha, I may regret it! I would love to carry less, but filmmaking at the level I'm trying to work at required so much gear, it's crazy, despite so many compromises made already.

Uxbridge is a great area for hiking I just got back from Thorton Bales in Newmarket great trail but not much to photograph

Uxbridge isn't very photogenic, many of the trails aren't. I've found things only start getting interesting when you reach Muskoka.
