I think the guilt, at least for me as a professional MMA athlete, from enjoying time in other sports is that outside of cross training benefits, I know its not helping me towards my goal of becoming the best fighter I can be. If anything, it's taking my focus away from that and could potentially damage that goal if I were to over train, get injuried doing something unnecessary, or heaven forbid; I fall in love with another thing. Now I'm a one foot in one foot out kinda person who "lacks consistently" or "isn't about it" and is wasting time. Only I must remind myself time enjoyed is never time wasted. I must remind myself that the goal was never to become the best fighter, but the happiest person. Not just to listen to my body and soul, but trust and act upon it, prioritizing that over any other percived judgments from peers I think I might get. Based on my experience, I try to replace that guilt with joy. Embracing running and that journey, the simularies and differences to CrossFit, and knowing you're free to do whatever you want at anytime. The only time wasted is time not present. I don't know if this made sense but really enjoy your videos and love the balanced spot you sit in where multiple turths can exist. sending love!

Ahh that’s such a good mindset! Yeah and that’s it I don’t even have any CrossFit specific goals anymore. I did a hybrid competition yesterday and it only motivated me more towards my new hybrid training style goals

@@sportybeth Yay! Congratulations! You already have done so much for CrossFit. You don't owe it anything, if anything it owes you 💛 It's exciting to think about how you insight and effort will grow the hybrid space. It definitely needs more individuals like you. Time to give it the same gift of passion CrossFit was so lucky to have for so long to this and see where it goes. 🙂

A hybrid fitness race 😁 I’ll do a full explanation soon. I think it’s new in the US but huge in Europe and the rest of the world

@xziaah6j63kx9 You're kidding right? Her pronunciation/elocution is excellent 👌🏾

Sorry auto subtitles don’t seem to be loading. I’ll try again. But I’m English. I have almost a non-accent English. But it can be hard if you’re not used to listening to native English

Yes! 😂 like this is what English sounds like. It’s other countries (the US) that have changed it

Well done, but you definitely don't need a run. Vest to do 3 miles.
@gem56272 ай бұрын
Wrong, you can wear a running vest for any distance where it helps you carry water or other supplies you feel necessary (Australian here and it’s often hot enough to warrant carrying water, also need a bandage in case of snakes). Though a running belt is a good option if you don’t want to wear a vest or don’t need that much room

😂😂 where am I going to put my water and my phone without it?
