Hi Liz, if I were a poet I would write a poem about your garden and you. Your garden reflects you. As a viewer, I’ve come to know the kind of person you are. No one probably would think that perennials could go with succulents or cacti. But in your garden they do . They look happy and vigorous. Your garden is so diverse . It’s an ecosystem in itself, with the presence of bees ( pollinators) , wild birds and probably small lizards and other small insects lurking underneath those plants! Secondly, your garden is an “ organized chaos”. ( I don’t know the origin of this phrase, I’m borrowing it.). Just like nature, it’s never organized, unlike the well trimmed, symmetrical garden designs of Europe palaces and castles. You wouldn’t dare step on them, you might ruin the designs, man made designs. Your garden, just like you is natural. Let nature takes it’s course. Stick them into the ground and let them thrive on their own. In fact, leave them alone and they perfectly show life, vigor and beauty. Underneath those dried, decomposing leaves are new growth, new life that surprise you every time you go around your garden sipping coffee. For me, it’s exciting, exhilarating, giving renewed vigor and hope to start my day. Your garden is a reflection of real life, like the gazania among a carpet of succulents, and alone in the pebble covered ground while the rest of them clustered not too far, randomly placed. You didn’t put it there on purpose, did you?and lastly, you accentuate your garden with those towering stones that look like chunks of granite, and earlier in the video, a crystal like stone( might be a precious stone) that add up to the beauty of your garden, not to mention the dried/ dead trunk of a tree. Your garden is a reflection of you, diverse, , real and unpretentious. Have a wonderful day, Liz.

Thank you so much Necy for this wonderful comment. I really appreciate it and you have given me soooo much ideas for future videos... So THANK YOU!!! yes the gazania is self seeded from my main garden bed. The dead trunk of trees are actually 400 million years old Petrified wood. Thank you once again and Have a Great Day!

Liz, you should think about getting ring camera or motion capture camera that works through wifi that is meant for the garden or front yard that can sit on a garden fixture or post. There are certain cameras made for outdoors that will send you notifications when people get within a designated area you select for motion to catch and immediately notify you.

Great idea about the honesty box is what we call it here in Australia. The only problem with that is I know of a few people(so called friends) who sells succulents. I'll put a bunch of Echeveria Mexican Giant($20/piece) in a nice arrangement and they'll just come and cleaned out the whole lot($500 worth for ex.) and leave me $10 or maybe $20 if they're feeling generous and $2 if they get spiked by the cactus. What's worst is that they also take the honesty box...LOL
