Well in Annie and Clarabel's case their roofs are grey. Bertie's face is were his grille would be, so it would be logical for him to have a grey face

Random side note: I think there were plans to give Annie and Clarabel grey faces when the show was making the transition to CGI. Obviously that never happened but I do remember seeing some people have done edits of Annie and Clarabel with grey faces prior to this.

I feel mixed, on one hand they feel to little for even a branch line (Personally feeling that a third break coach should be added so that the guard is ensured to be on the end), on the other hand two small four-wheeled coaches makes it more believable when daisy (a single unit railcar) can work the same roll as thomas.

I like this take, though I think the face would look much better if it was the same color as the rest of the coach, plus they would fit better with the engines since they have colored faces. Either way, I honestly think this is a pretty good take on them, and I completely agree with them not being push pull coaches.
