Man why must copyright infringement be a thing... this would work perfectly to a piece I am working on for someone I lost in 7th grade I knew would've been my high school sweetheart when we knew each other back in head start.. being 27 about to be 28 the 12th of next month and finally have my passion back which was music at 3 years old, I hope this piece becomes my masterpiece though I really wish I could use this instrumental. Because someone worked very hard on this and it was their very personal way to express themselves? Taking away someone's work is never ok, so no, copyright is not a waste of time. You can use the instrumental with and only with the composer's consent, as it should be.

You are allowed to recreate the melody, it's practiced all the time, look at the crazy frog ringtone and then listen to "Bang Bang" by Rita ora and tell me it isn't the same melody, listen to "I'm blue" by Eiffel 65 and then listen to "some say" by New and tell me that isn't the same melody, songs do it all the time, you are allowed to use the melody as long as you recreate it differently and add your own personality into it instead of directly copying it
