Great looking nano. Don’t need to overcomplicate a saltwater setup with super techy and expensive equipment. Sometimes less is truly more!

I just set up the same tank, loving it so far. Definitely going to add the skimmer! Love the simple approach and that lid looks great. Where did you purchase it?

My good friend Unorthodox Reef made it for me. Not something you can buy anywhere but I’m sure you can find something similar! Even a piece of glass would do well.

Hi great video, I saw in one of the comments that you don't test the water. How do you make sure that the water is good for the fish and the corals? I'm very curious because I would like not to test ether. Do you buy the water?

Love the idea of a simpler setup, but was thinking I'd go a bit larger (30-40 G) for my first reef tank. Would something like this be scalable?

I live in Brooklyn New York and wonder can I just use the tap water since it’s pretty much filter and clean to top off my tank when water evaporates ?
@SharbucklesReef4 ай бұрын
I use only tap water. Now, as far as the quality of water in your city, I have no idea. So I can’t really say for certain if it would be okay.

Do you need a wave maker if you want to keep sps or is the return good I have the same one just the wave maker pushes the sand
@SharbucklesReef Жыл бұрын
I would absolutely suggest getting a wave maker if you want to keep sps. The return pump is not enough.

Sorry I’m not using this light anymore, there’s not really a schedule with the light. It turns on and then off again after 10 hours. That’s about it.

I ordered this tank . Just getting back into the hobby after a ten year or so hiatus. Lighting is a real struggle for me as I am still on tube time and just now trying to understand led’s. I have kinda narrowed it down to the kessil a80,this nicrew,or maybe an AI HD16. I see you are not using the Nicrew anymore. Did you change lights or tear down the tank? I kinda wish IM offered a light that would get the job done. So which light did you switch to? Loving that large leather…had a biggie like that myself in my old tank.
