Yes hon! The walking (slow cardio) is a key component we all need to do! I turned 46 and long hours on the laptop even with regular strength training at the gym 4-5 times a week had me gain that pre-menopausal weight overnight! What I could do at 45; I can’t do anymore at 46. Walking more is crucial! You both look fab and thank you so much for this!! Questions for part 2: can we see more compare/contrast photos? Maybe film a lagree session? A day in the life of … so we can the schedule broken up by walking, eating, working on content, working out etc.

Went for a 3 mile walk today and it felt so seamless, listened to a podcast the whole time so the time flew by! Thank you for reminding me that exercise doesn’t always have to be so vigorous and intense, it can be soft and light and still have the same benefits!

Your habits are 💯 correct especially about sugar! I noticed a huge difference in being more alert, less inflammation, less bloated all when I cut out sugar - it’s remarkable how it effects sooo many different parts of the body in a massively negative way. If there’s one thing to take away from this it’s to cut out / limit sugar!

I’ve been following your journey all these years. You and Katy are why I started low carb high protein. I’ve stuck to it since 2018. Lost the majority of the weight and now trying to lean. This video was so realistic on weight loss. Everything Shayla said is true and doable. Starting out with small steps and it will lead to bigger steps. Nutrition is more than half the battle. I agree that moderation can happen AFTER getting the eating and nutrition under control. I started eating fruits as my first meal. Something my body can process easily. I love oatmeal and still eat it but something light is better to start with. Looking forward to the next video. ❤

WELCOME BACK SHAYLA ❤ Keeping a food journal really helped me understand where I could make changes in order to live a healthy lifestyle. The journal helped me understand that I was an emotional eater and when I get bored I eat. If I'm upset I eat. I have primary progressive MS so walking literally saved my life. I also weigh once a week always at the same time after I get out of the shower. You both look great and I hope you share more lifestyle tips..

Shayla, thank you SO much for saying that if you binge eat, moderation doesn’t always work. I’ve been trying to tell people this & they don’t understand! Food addiction is real & it’s all or nothing when trying to eat healthier. Some people see me as obsessed & guess what? I am! Because I have to be to reach my goals! One question I had for you is, did you experience a lot of hunger while being in a deficit & if so, what did you do to combat that? I am having trouble with this! Anything helps! Thanks in advance!

Do you take supplements? Do you take creatinine? Can you talk a little about creatinine if you do take it? I’ve lost 35 pounds and thinking of introducing it into my supplements list to retain muscle a little more. Also Shayla I just wanna say I’m so grateful for you! You are the reason my weight loss journey has been so easy ! Your method works so well for me. I literally can hear your voice in my head sometime saying “just do it” and “don’t be lazy” no excuses Key things I remember from you is to keep my meals simple. I do the same meals everyday and I love it! I like the structure. I am not lazy anymore 10k steps a day minimum EVERYDAY. “Move your body” I feel so much better and I look amazing. My confidence has skyrocketed. It’s been so long since I felt this way and I have you to thank. Your journey is so inspiring 🥲☺️ Thanks so much girl!

Congrats on your journey. You mentioned bell peppers as mostly carbs. Bell peppers are mostly water. 1 large red pepper is about 9g of carbs & 151g of water per the USDA food database. They work well for ppl following a low FODMAP diet their physician may have recommended.

Always love your journey and results. Congrats. But many factors not applicable to average person. Living in Houston? No 3-7 miles in this heat?? 2-3 hours a day walking/gym?? I wfh but lead and present a lot so can’t be huffing on calls. I workout daily in the morning but next video showing how you get to your protein goals will be helpful. It’s hard to get to 150+g of protein without feeling like you’re eating all day.

Getting use to eating carbs again while staying in a calorie deficit and hitting my protein goal. Every weight loss plan I have done for the past 5 years has been “carbs is the devil” . That messed me up mentally AND the weight goes on soooooo fast if you slip up and start eating “normal “ again. I just need to eat balanced without demonising food. Processed foods and sugars has never been an issue & I enjoy cooking. But now I cook and I do eat complex carbs. It feels so much better. Let’s see how it goes I have 60lbs to lose. Lost 14 so far.

I'm happy to hear the info you share is making sense. I agree with you 100%, diet and nutrition is the most important factor for weight loss and have already lost a few pounds with low carb meals and portion control. Like yourself I LOVE weightlifting as it gives the most visible and tangible results and I also add cycling at home for cardio.
