My Insane New Fishing Kayak! (Ascend 128T Kayak Review)

Touring my new Ascend 128T fishing kayak, and taking it out for the first time ever! I brought the new kayak inshore near some mangroves in Jupiter, Florida to try and find some fish. Plenty more kayak fishing videos to come in the near future.😁

Kayak looks legit dude. I’ve never used a fishing kayak but for what I just seen I would love to check it out sometime!! And hey “always pick up your trash guys” I could not agree more I don’t care where I am I’ve taught my kids this aswell. Whether your camping, fishing, or hiking always pick up trash and leave the area nicer then you found it and hope the group after you does the same!!!

Nice fishing kayak. You'll have some adventures with that for sure. I have a question. What camera were you using in the first 4 minutes of this video before switching over to the GoPro. I'm getting ready to make an investment in at least 2 new cameras and really liked the way this camera shot video. The GoPro looked good too but I was wondering what the first segment was shot with if you don't mind telling me. Thanks. Great video.

I’m using my IPhone 12 Pro Max whenever possible at the moment! I am very pleased with how the footage has been coming out. I upgraded from my iPhone 6s because I only had 16gb of storage and I figured I would make the newest upgrade instead of getting a bigger camera for now!😁

the 128 t is still for sale at cabelas and online as far as i know at least in indiana they also now have a 133 which is geared more towards tournaments its a little longer and heavier than the 128 we have 2 12 t's and love them but have been looking at the 128's

Hello Hunter this was a great video you did on your kayak. The place is you kayak to wear awesome too. I always want to kayak in the mangroves I just haven't been able to do that yet. I have a question? I'm looking to pick up another kayak for me and my son. I'm wondering how comfortable is it to Stand in the kayak barefooted 👣 and are the foot brace pretty wide on the kayak. Me and my son both have very wide feet. My son's foot is about 4 1/2 inches wide and mine is very very extremely extremely wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from our big toe to our lil toes with me and my son's toes being equally straight across making the foot very wide. This is what I'm worried about for the foot brace. My son's toes all like normal size but mines is very very fat and very very wide so I'm wondering how wide are the foot braces. I have to kayak barefooted 👣 like you was doing because they do not make a shoe , sock , or boot that's wide enough for my foot so this is why I was wondering how comfortable is it to barefooted 👣. I know that some of the foot braces are very uncomfortable to be barefooted 👣. But I am interested in picking this kayak up for my son for him to kayak in. have you had any problems with it flipping over . my friend went on maiden voyage today and he flipped it right out of the gate can't figure out why as wide as it is it should not had flipped he said it was wobbly as soon as he took off . any ideas ?

I’ve never flipped or came close to myself. Although I’ve never taken mine out in rough conditions. Hope you figure it out! 💯

@@AnchorDownBoat one more question. the seat is held down with 2 bungee cords does your seat held down tight? his is really loose those bungee cords do not hold it down it's almost just like if you put it in the groves and that's that no fastener or anything

@@catfish452 mine does stay down somewhat firmly, but I do know what you are talking about and have seen people wrap some electrical tape around the ends of the 4 poles, and the extra width makes them sit in the grooves much firmer.

a new 128 in indiana is 1000 for just the yak no oar or anything else if its in good shape might be worth the price if its not outrageously high
