@@shariyarmahmood5602 The issue is that the SAT is easier than most other tests used to attest a student’s adeptness in order to apply to uni to begin with. Furthermore, if you may take it as often as any dumbass needs to get a decent score, those people will have a rude awakening further down the line. The fact of the matter is that certain subjects are just insanely hard; some people will never have what it takes to either complete studies in said subject and/or be good at the job they’ll eventually attain, using the skills they learned from that particular subject. That’s why universities *need* to select for certain abilities and a test that’s not worth anything because it doesn’t test what matters, is not a suitable tool for selection.

When I have children, they won’t have to worry about my reaction if they get a bad SAT score because I know my children will be intelligent. Even if they don’t plan on going to university like I did, they’ll still score high on those damned SATs not because they want to go to a university but because they wanted to flex their score 💀

Seriously tho, people like to overdue the hell outta the SAT. It is not AT ALL the terrifying test people make it out to be. The only thing I really recommend is actually paying attention in class, especially Math, and taking PSAT's and SAT Practice Tests. They really help yyou get an overall feel for it and gives a mmore comforting feel when taking it, which this video proves perfectly

This honestly isn’t worth it unless you’re literally trying to get into the best uni of one of the hardest majors to get into. I think college itself as well as the sats are inherently disgusting and exploitative, but even if you need further education for your desired field this just isn’t worth it

I just took the psat in October freshman year and I got a 1190 without studying. I definitely messed up on the math part tho because I took algebra 1, 2 and geometry in middle school and I couldn’t remember nothing lol. Sophomore year I’m gonna study and try to raise it up

I got a 1570 and my parents were mad because quote “it’s too good to retake, but too bad to be competitive [enough]”. I ended up zero-shotting the ACT, finished each section in around a third of the allotted time, and got a flawed 36 (35 on writing section….?) The 35 still haunts me to this day, although my essay scores were something left to be desired…

Got a 1230 psat, a 1290 psat, 1390 sat and then 32 act (basically a 1450). I didn’t study that much for any of them, and none was done with tutoring. I wish I would’ve had the resources and time to know everything all the high performers know abt this test. It’s not a “hard test” but it’s a trick questions test. But other than college admissions, at most schools the score cap for scholarships is like 1380 so anything above that is typically not needed.

I took the SAT once and got an 810. I took it a second time and got an 820. I didn’t study or prepare whatsoever, I just went and took it. Those scores are borderline retarded, no? What’s crazy is that I was an honor student in high school and graduated top of my class. I never took any PSATs, I remember I was absent from school that day. I’m just not a good standardized test taker. But it didn’t matter to me, I only applied to one university and got accepted, it was the only one I ever wanted to attend. I then went off to graduate school after that and got my masters. Standardized test don’t really prove anything and they’re not really impressive anymore. That’s why many universities don’t even have that as a requirement anymore.

I got an 1020? 1120? in 7th grade, took a pre in 8th for ~1200, got 1380 junior year, took it again for a 1430 at the start of senior year. I tried to actually study for it and take it again before college applications, but a marching band competition was rescheduled for the testing date, and there weren't any testing dates soon enough after to get scores, so I never took it again.

As a person who got a 1410 on the SAT, the SAT should be removed as the international testing system for higher grade students A Math 770 in Asia is ~50th percentile range. With China being in the 58th percentile, 48th in Korea, and the 45th in Vietnam. This means the SAT has became a low standard through Asia. The GaoKao test in China or JIT Exam in India are much more competitive, as almost no one has been able to perfect these two exams This would force countries to develop their education system and would have the world avg IQ skyrocket.
