Ep. 90) “MY INTUITION TOLD ME TO BREAK UP WITH HER” (EP. 90)
We see just as you all do that it has been a lot of breakups going on. Breakups between friends close to us and even some very notable celebrities as well. This raised the question, “when is the right time to break up with someone and when is the right time to work through it?” Something important that Omar said in this episode for everyone even those just seeking relationship, “is where I’m at right now, where I’m going to be forever?”
Thank you for joining us!

43:20 this part about if you and your partner have an argument and she decides she's going to go tell her friends versus you going to tell your family is sticky though because what happens is sometimes you go tell your family once you've discussed some type of conflict or obstacle it puts it on your partner like The Scarlet letter and they never forget whatever conflict that was and if you have more fights and confide in your family again they will always hold that against your partner and that causes a rift between your family and your partner so it's kind of a touch-and-go situation really it's not an absolute good option always. sometimes I have found it's good to confide in your partner's closest friend or best friend because it's somebody meaningful and a value but not quite a family member that could hold it against you... again everybody's situation is case-by-case but working to maintain your relationship takes a committed and genuine person that is always commended.

6:51 cultural differences are not just race or ethnicity specific where you grew up in the neighborhood the City versus The burbs the dynamic of single parent household versus two-parent household etc is its own culture so all those combined with the interracial dating piece there are so many things that could go left if not discussed... this is a great conversation...

You know what really baffles me about people? Is that you’ll always see black men speaking about a situation that involves a non-black woman, completely disregarding her as the “problem” and jumping straight to the surface level shxt such as “cultural differences” being a reason, and so forth? While all that could be a reason, stop disregarding the fact that non-black women can indeed be toxic as well. People love to forget that this lady admitted that she didn’t know she had anger issues until she got with Jeezy, which caused her to look at herself in terms of the things she needed to fix. I have no problem with Jeannie; I actually like her and loved them together, but what I don’t like is that every time there’s a non-black woman involved, y’all don’t make it about the shxt y’all make it when there’s a black woman involved. If these were two black people, black men would jump to the nearest exit to make sure that black woman was being blamed for why the relationship ended. She’ll be all types of “strong black woman” this and “masculine” that. Nowhere did I see one black person say anything negative about Jeannie other than “cultural” reasons. What about a woman who doesn’t know how to be submissive? What about someone who doesn’t allow their man to truly lead the family, or did y’all skip that to? Y’all see everything else when it’s a black woman involved, but somehow when it’s a non-black woman, y’all pull out all these other reasons except the obvious. If y’all were paying attention to what Jeezy said in his post, he spoke about the fact that she doesn’t allow him to lead, but everybody wants to play oblivious to that. Everyone wants to pull the sympathy card and roll out the carpet for her to be feminine. It’s truly sad and disappointing to see black men openly run to protect women who are not of their own but will throw their own women in the fire the first chance they get. I didn’t see anyone make positive videos about the Kayla Nicole situation. Every black dude ran to the internet to bash this lady for being vulnerable and made sure to call her all the same ole stereotypes y’all love to call black women, but somehow Jeannie gets a pass, and everyone is so “shocked” and “hoped” for the best, and she’s a “solid” woman, etc etc, but didn’t bring up one issue that was brought to the forefront. The black community will always continue to be a disappointment. The self-hatred runs so deep.

I honestly think people will attend who don't fully support marriage or even respect boundaries. I think the respecting boundaries of marriage shouldn't be cross, its when the disrespect of the union happens. People are broken and I believe its something they have to work on. Not blaming either side or faulting the broken persons. Some broken people are not willing to change their behaviors.

2 years is light lol Michelle said there was TEN years that she was unhappy with Barack lol and most long term marriages would say that. You will spend 50+ years together. 10 years don’t have to be the greatest. For the greater good. For your grandkids to grow up in a household with both grandparents inside.

People are makig jokes about Jeannie Mai and Jeezy divorce because what Jeannie Mai said about black men in her past in her TV show The Real (which wasn't that long ago) she said and I quote " Love Black guys. But for me - dark meat on the side, white meat keeps me lean and mean. That's what I like " peope are saying that's her karma for divorcing her white ex husband and degrading black men

Where is the episode about cheating? Because I also have a question about how a cheating man friends look at him and if that makes them question his character. Or do they hold their friends accountable when they cheat? Or do men not tell their friends when they cheat because they know it’s wrong? Curious how a man who cheats and is disloyal to the person he lays down with can be loyal to anyone else……..just asking, not like I’ve been cheated on before 🙃😂😂😂

I think it’s because her family moving in was cramping his style. They had their baby while they were still in their honeymoon era and that can be hard when your partner can’t respect certain boundaries but also can’t understand each others perspective and find a medium, I think they are both two ppl who don’t like to compromise and their previous partners were more often sacrificing or bending the knee.

I’m 26 and I’ve been in a relationship for 4 years. We’re very happy and thinking about taking it to the next level and getting married. My question is what does it look like “keeping God in the center of your relationship?” Like what does that consist of on the daily basis. I grew up in a church but since an adult it’s been years since going but I still have a relationship w/God. Just asking what does that look like practically?
@dajag50

The things is... even if the cause of divorce was based upon culture differences and how they pertain to the child. Does divorce change those differences and the fact that they have to be faced? Because I mean the child is here already. 😬 I feel like the differences may be faith based which is now a whole other story, but then again this is all speculation😶‍🌫
