Love is definitely not blind! I’ve lost 55lbs, i typically date in my community. Your weight and how you carry yourself is very important. Ive seen the change since ive gotten smaller. Its also important self aware as a woman too. It can be difficult to understand but you have to acknowledge it , so you dont be in uncomfortable situations.

100%. I hate hearing women say their weight doesn't matter when dating. It does and you do get better options when you're on the smaller side or height/weight proportional but leaning slimmer.

Me personally , I wouldn’t mind saying I have a kid up front . The right man won’t care or eventually will come around on his own. Withholding info as major as that is like underhandedly manipulating a man into knocking off his standards he has set in place for his ideal relationship which only leads to an unstable foundation on which you CANNOT build a sturdy home .

I agree with being upfront about having kids. Having kids is NOT in everyone’s plan. As a single mother I’d rather weed out any men who are not willing to accept me with my little ones right off the bat, than to invest my time and feelings only to be let down further down the road. MOST DEFINITELY mention being a single parent is never a down play of who we are as a person but it does hurt when someone isn’t willing to accept us single moms with our “baggage”
@Ashley_Brown8510 ай бұрын
This is 100 percent true.. My child father didn't tell me he had a second child on the way until I said I would date him... I knew about his first child but didn't know about the 2nd...i was upset but still gave it a chance and the relationship didn't work out because the other BMs was involved in a controlling way. I never had a spot in his life. Unfortunately I had my first child with him and now, he's not in her life.... You definitely have to tell the person you're dating that you have children. This will give them the opportunity to tell you if they're willing to deal with children. My exact words to my ex.

Different perspective on the Jess situation, and I guess a lot of people do this, but she definitely manipulated her way into Jimmy’s heart by not telling him about her daughter. You’re omitting information for your benefit. There’s not much difference in what she did and what Carlton (season 1) did. He waited until after the engagement to disclose that he was bisexual. Granted, Jess didn’t wait until after getting engaged, but she definitely was trying to get what she wanted without being completely honest.

THIS is how you properly actively listen. Thank you! Lmao. A lot of us to do tend to become infatuated in the process of dating. I guess you can call it being a little too present 🤔 or being in a daze of some sorts. To not only listen to the cues, but also thinking about what that could MEAN. what that could LOOK like and how that reflects in their life… and how it could reflect in yours.. Hm. Very notable. It’s like we notice some things, some red flags.. but we choose to either push it to the side to “come back to” or we choose to settle for it. But to actually think about how these cues or red flags could reflect in your life.. yeah ion think we do that toooo too much. You weren’t even trying to give advice but that’s exactly what you did. Thank you! Lolol

Jess cleared up that she told every guy in pods she had a kid once topic came up organically bc all other guys just asked about family planning in general. Her & Jimmy’s conversations didn’t go there until a few days in. I think she played it right. Revealing it as news day 1 is imp if the kid was a toddler b/c that would be a recent ex + kid is fully dependent on mom which changes a lot about dating. Even still though, it shouldn’t be a ground rule on this..She could over power every first date talking about her kid and upbringing or she could keep it light and see what the guy brings. My opinion, being previously divorced is equally as important in this situation to mention. You have to process that you are not this persons first or only spouse .. that changes a lot for ppl believe you should only experience marriage once. Especially when the cast is in their 20s.. not 50s.

As a single mom, I see nothing wrong with not disclosing me having a child right off the bat. At the end of the day, the man is having to choose to be with ME. My kid will eventually grow up & live their own life, while I will still be with the man that I chose. The man should get to know the mother first, without having in the back of his mind that she is a mom. We are moms and it is the most important role that we have but we are MORE than JUST a mom.

I actually will meet men , tell them I have kids (👶🏾👶🏾) and instantly see the disinterest off the rip . So , I stopped . Then , I also heard a black dating professional mention that us as mommies SHOULD REFRAIN from disclosing that on any first date . Now , I discern which men imma let know upfront vs. keeping it to myself for a little bit . Sorry for the long comment , but this is how I know that mine will be GOD sent , cause I’m a single mommy and no one tries to talk to me 😌

Yes and no. As a woman with no kids, I'm dealing with a man with kids no matter how great his personality is. I can find that in someone childless, where we can create our own family and not have to deal with everything that comes with outside kids. It's your child so you see it a certain way, but reality is very hard when dealing with children not your own.

Having Clay on the show gives him exactly what he wants- attention. The fact he said on precious podcasts he didn’t want to be married and went along with it because he was incentivized.. you can tell he even said he never watched the show until during filming. The casting ppl recognized that Clay could be a villain and he gave them enough material to do so. First he wasn’t even present most of the show and only came on for filming… Clay's all about the spotlight, on "Dear Future Wifey." He's got his mom right there with him ( she seems like she enables him) blaming the show or saying it AD when in reality he was barely there for the 6 weeks by his own admission- everything was “her body, what she can do for him, “I don’t wanna cheat -which he says at the most random times, and “my daddy my daddy” then gets on the reunion to say black men coming from broken bones - like sir 🫠🫠🫠🫠 you talking to ppl who dgaf. Says she is the love of his life after they haven’t seen each other and goes on these podcasts 🙄🙄🙄 to say the opposite. It's like he's on these shows to hear himself talk, without saying anything worth hearing.

I don’t think love is conditional for ppl with kids. I do think people have preferences, but having a kid only makes a woman with value more choosy when it comes to picking a man to date and vice versus. I think without having a kid you are subject to picking and dealing with ppl who aren’t genuine. I wouldn’t personally date a man with kids but I also wouldn’t date a 5’8 man.
