I love hearing that people enjoyed seeing these. I only wish I had a 52 Topps Jackie to show off too! In a few years maybe. And isn't there something extra cool about knowing you're the 2nd owner of a card? Like, to have that direct connection to the original owner's childhood in a slab as fresh as can be makes it a very special card for me. Thanks for commenting!

Wow, those were some incredible Jackie’s with outstanding eye appeal! Tough to choose but I think that the 1949 Bowman was my favorite.

@@CardKingCollectibles I think out of all of them, the 49 is in the best condition and has the best centering next to the 53. I was thrilled with the bold color and crisp registration but when I heard it was the childhood card of the seller’s client’s husband, and no one else had ever owned it before, it put that card on another level.

I want the 52 Topps Jackie probably more than any other card on earth right now, but I know what centered copies sell for, so it’s going to be another couple of years before I can drop that kind of cash. I could afford a low grade copy now but I’m holding out for something special. But don’t worry, once that happens there will definitely be a Jackie collection update video!

Very nice and impressive collection, Pete! I may be biased because it’s the only card of his I own but the ‘53 Topps is probably my favorite. The ‘49 Bowman is gorgeous though with that bright background. The ‘50 Bowman is just a work of art. Thanks for sharing these!

Nice Jackie run. Really nice '49 Bowman, I wish that was his RC as I prefer it over the Leaf, but both are great! And a great collection of guitars too! I can relate as I collect cards and guitars also, but acoustic for me.

@@davelachey8118 I have a soft spot for the 48 Leaf because I grew up thinking it was a card I would never be able to afford. But i love my 49 just as much, and it has a more memorable purchase story. What kind of acoustics do you have? I have 3 acoustics here right now but they’re on the opposite wall, and a 4th that I need to get back from somebody. So I love acoustics too I’m just more of an electric player. @@50-Fifty-Vintage At the moment I have 3 Martins: 000-18, D18, D35 and a Gibson J-45 that are all keepers but have owned 20+ along the way. Guitars take a bit more space than cards :-)

How did you initiate off-eBay communications with that guy? You can't just give your email address in an eBay message.

@@cryptonite8495 You have to get very creative with how you give them your email address. I think I did something like “Do you ever sell on social media? If you have any interest in talking directly to avoid fees, reach out to me at ‘petebohan’ ahttt geeeeemaaayle daught cahm.” Or something along those lines. Just keep trying weird but phonetic spellings and eventually you’ll get through eBay’s sensors, and if the seller is smart enough they’ll figure it out. This guy wrote me right away. It wasn’t the first time I’ve done something like that, but I’ll only bother if it’s a big purchase and worth the effort.
