Honestly this is the best jeans video that I have ever seen! Also you are the first person that I have ever seen that has been able to show me the proper way to cuff a non tapered hem. And just a little suggestion for when you come to the states: since you are such a fan of Levi's (who isn't?) you should try looking in the thrift stores here. We have great styles and prices. I have at least 10+ pairs of Levi's alone that I bought secondhand for an average of $10 or least for each one...🤑

Here in Canada, no one ever really talks about Topshop denim. But, soooo many UK bloggers looooove them, so I made a special trip down to Topshop in Vancouver yesterday. I tried on all different styles and fell in absolute love with the Jamie jeans. Bought two pairs!!! Finding great fitting comfortable denim is hard, so I’m glad I tried Topshop!

Topshop is a British brand and many of use grew up with Topshop jeans, for most of us they were probably our first jeans as a teen so we do pay hommage to them 🙊 However, be wary as not all of their styles are good, some have so much stretch in the fabric that you end up with saggy crotch, saggy butt and saggy knees 😕

Love Levi's. I used to only wear Levi's and hated other jeans 👖 but I reached out to other brands when Levi's were not doing great but I don't think I ever liked any other brand as much. I found Lucky Brand in the interim and still like, but Levi's are the best 🌸 ⚘ and I loved your Paige and Re done. The grey t-shirt and gold jewelry look great. My favourite ones are Levis 501ct as well. I also buy them in 26/32 size. They are the most comfy jeans ever. I have them in about 5 colors and am absolutely addicted to them :-). Cant believe I wear the same size, when I watch your films I think you are much slimmer than me :-) Love your style, of course!

They all look great on you! I’ve tried a few straight leg as usually wear skinnies but most as I’m 5ft 5 are too long and don’t work well! Maybe need to find some in a shorter leg will try the Topshop ones but the Levi’s Ct looked too long on me x

Amanda Dyke Levi's will shorten their jeans for you for free in store, I believe it doesn't matter where or when you initially bought them. I had my wedgies straight shortened.

How does the black Levi’s jeans wash? I feel like after 5 washes all my black jeans are grey. 😒 I even use vinegar as “fabric softener” to preserve colour. Also, great tip on cuffin boyfriend jeans before folding them up. Why haven’t I thought of that!? 👍🏼

The Weekday Tuesday don't seem to lose color and I've been washing them once week for six month now. I've had my fair share of black jeans and I'm positively surprised. Some of their other models are absolute crap tho

I barely wash my jeans unless they actually get dirty. You're not supposed to wash jeans like your other clothes, but if you do you should wash inside out on a cold wash. If you're washing hot that might be the reason that they're losing colour x

Emma Hill You raise a great topic: What ARE you supposed to do to jeans, to freshen them up? I try to stretch my use quite a long time before washing them (although toothpaste seem to be DRAWN to my clothes! Maybe I should dress in the morning AFTER I've brushed my teeth! 🙈), but when "the knee situation" appears, I feel I have to wash them - if toothpaste hasn't forced me to before. I've heard that you can pop jeans in the freezer for a day or two to freshen them up, but gotta admit, haven't tried it tho 🤔 The trick with Dylon is great. I do that every now and then

Love love love!! I have a question regarding finding the right jeans for me...I’d say my waist is a 10 but my legs are a 12 and I just can not find jeans to fit me at all. Either to tight or to big around the waist. Are there any brands in particular you would recommend I try, or styles. I usually always wear a skinny jean. 😘

Have you tried a straight leg, they are't as fitted on the legs so you could get away with a 10 and they maybe wouldn't be tight on your legs? Just a thought to try maybe x

Really informative video, thank you. I’ve always bought high street jeans (River Island, Zara, H&M, etc) as I’m really clumsy and couldn’t bear to spend lots then drop something greasy on them or fall over and tear them. However, having six dogs means that I live in jeans so wearing anything else just feels odd (Wore a sweater dress yesterday and got myself all flustered rearranging it and pulling it down all bloomin’ day) so I think I should try on a few premium brands so that I have a couple of pairs for ‘best’. Also, in your everyday make up video you mentioned your eyebrow are tattooed - Could you do a Vlog about that please as your brows look really great! Was the procedure painful and how did you know what colour and shape to choose or did the person doing your brows decide?

501 high rise super skinny’s are my favourite. I just wish all the Levi’s washes were created equal I find some don’t feel as thick as others. I guess it’s that way so they can cater to everyone . The key with Levi’s is to try and try and try again until you find which style and size works best for you.

Hi Emma and Happy Easter to you from Norway. I agree with you regarding the Levis 501 skinny. I ordered a pair from the States. I sized down one sz as I always do in the 501 and the fit was perfect except around the knees and in the calves, they were very tight.(and I have long slim legs) I hope that it will give with some wear. I just ordered a pair of Levis 501 CT in my usual 501 size, witch I have not received yet, but I red your comment here that the CT comes in different styles? And then I start to worry a bit about the fit of the jeans I just ordered. I thought that CT was CT and not different styles within the CT? Can you then please tell me what kind of CT style you have in this video? Thank you.

I'm way too late for this. Interesting video, I feel like I'll have to look into Levi's. My favourite jeans so far are some Ralph Lauren black, high-waisted skinny jeans with white stitching. They'd been about £140, but I got them for 30 quid in the John Lewis sale a couple of years ago. I was very, very doubtful about them because I didn't think I'd like anything skinny, but they're not extremely skinny. I got them in a US 10 (UK 14?) and they are so comfy. They do have a bit of stretch so I can eat without worrying that my waist will be cut in half. I'm 5'3 and they're a perfect length for me.

Hi, I know this might sound silly but do you buy your Levi's directly from their website? Everyone I know seems to find theirs in vintage stores but I've never been so lucky to find a pair that fit properly.

There's a big difference between vintage levis and current levis. Vintage levis are awesome, but they are essentially mens jeans and that's how they fit. Denim technology had evolved as have the levis brand and now they create awesome styles for women. Sometimes I buy from the levis site but as I mentioned I tend to buy most of my levis from the States when I visit because they're so much cheaper 👌🏼

Try not to wash them unless you absolutely have to, then wash inside out and on a cold setting. Its the hot settings that will strip the colour x

It really depends on your own style, shape and preference. Mine changes throughout the seasons - in summer may sway toward cropped but winter definitely longer. ❤️

Also, I know exactly what you mean by the 501s being tight on the calves! I suffered quite a while until my 501s finally wore in. Recently I got a pair that had 1% elastane in them and a lighter wash. They’re loads more comfortable! Also, I found the inseam is key! It seems as though the shorter inseam the nicer the fit.
