I recently purchased a 1996 year model 310D with 4 sticks and 2 swing pedals. I guess whether the backhoe had 4 sticks or 2 toggle sticks was an option. My headliner is in bad shape and now I know what goes in the opening above the rear window. Apparently I'm missing that "box" that the rear wiper motor swings up into. I'll have to find that part or mould one out of fiberglass. My status lights are missing the shadow decal saying what light means what. Thanks to your video I know what it looks like and perhaps can make something similar. I appreciate your videos because you can't learn enough from the manuals as you can from seeing someone else with more experience working on one.

Thats the same machine I learned how to run backhoe with while working on a cattle farm. I had thousands of hours on it over the years, there good machines. It had a linkage driven thumb that pinched automatically as you curled the bucket. For odd jobs every day I liked it better than a cylinder driven thumb, its only downside was deep digging but we seldom did that. We also had a front-end hugger on a quick mount for round bales during hay season, it had long hoses run back to one of the out riggers and they were fitted with quick couplers, that way we could use the rigger to run the front hugger.

I really like the matchine compared to my 1998 case 580sl I had prior.. just a more well rounded matchine. maybe a little slower for digging.

When adding to the hydraulic fluid reservoir does this require hydraulic and transmission fluid or just straight hydraulic fluid is fine? Can’t tell if this machine shares the hydraulic fluid reservoir for transmission .
@grmishady Жыл бұрын
Shared pretty sure but it does have reverser fluid which I think is the same fluid

Does it growl going down the road in 3rd And 4 the gear.?
@grmishady3 жыл бұрын
nope it doesn't make any different noise from the lower gears.
@SampsonGG2 жыл бұрын
From another 310D operator - no, it does not growl at all in 3rd & 4th

Is this similar to a 410d model?
@grmishady2 жыл бұрын
I really don't know but I imagine the same engineers designed both so it wouldn't surprise me.

It won't smash anyone. You should always park the machine with the cylinders inside themselves where they can't get damaged or weathered.
@grmishady2 жыл бұрын
I like the idea but having them all in would leave the hoe high In the air. I've never seen anyone leave them that way and not running someone pushing a lever would let it drop.
@user-maxim_792 жыл бұрын
@@grmishady that's false. It would be extended out and the bucket open. But, if you had the hoe up and someone hit the lever it would go down a snails pace.

@@grmishady There's a company in my city that does boom lift rentals. They have like two dozen of them parked out front and every single one of them is always parked with the booms raised up as high as they'll reach.
