My first car was a 63 Fairlane that I got in 1974. They will always be special to me.

I'm not ford man but I got this 63 fairlane a year ago in January 22 and I have put 2500hours in it. It was my farther inlaws, so I did a restoration on it for my wife. It has a 221hp 3 on the column. I hope I done a job on its my first restoration.

Stunning car my friend. When I was very young man I had a 64 Sport Coupe with a 289 hi pro . Man I loved that car . It had chromes with baby moons . Huge chick magnet . It got stolen and was never seen by me again . So I went and got a 63 1/2 Falcon Sprint and put another 289 hi pro in it because I could not find another 64 Fairlane Sport Coupe anywhere . I loved those cars so much I got a 64 Mercury Comet Cyclone for my 50th birthday cause I was born in 1950 . Still got it .

Bob Tasca Sr built the first Ford Fairlane 427 Thunderbolt in 1963. He suggested to Ford that they should build some for 1964 and they did. 100 of them as race cars only.

You are correct, it was called Zimmy 1, was the first T-bolt, and the basis for the Thunderbolts

@@jimcox1019 Bob Tasca Sr did a bunch of innovations for Ford. He also created the Cobra Jet engine, the Ford vehicle leasing program, performance parts program, etc.

That is a beautiful car my friend,the 63 Fairlane sport coupe red on red is by far my favorite car of all time I’ve had 3 Fairlanes in my lifetime one was a sport coupe that I wrecked and totaled it was a great car it had was!
