I remember them flying overhead when I was young. The one painted up like a German fighter, and was torn down, used to fly in a group and solo when I was a kid in Granada Hills.

Pilots had balls of steel in those days. Used to love going to VN airport at that restaurant and watching them take off an land. Sad kids laugh at flatheads those are true hot rods. 200hp in one of those buckets was hauling azz they weight next to nothing. Ill probably never get to own as I dont fit in much of anything being talll but love seeing them .

I rarely get a chance to go to events like that but they are really nice. It's doesn't have to be an all day event to have fun. I need to assemble my 37 oldsmobile and get out there.
