How is that legal to have abortion without knowledge of the father ?

Thank you for watching. In the United States, having the father's consent isn't a legal obligation. The woman carrying the child may terminate a pregnancy against the father's objections. It was wrong for me not to inform the father. In panic, I made the decision alone. Keeping the secret added to my guilt and complicated forgiveness.
