My KA-BAR TDI Collection | EDC

I accidentally collected Ka-Bar TDI knives. I don't have every model, and I don't plan to get any more knives in the TDI line, but I have a line-up that represents some of the changes these knives have gone through.
In this video, I have the original Ka-Bar TDI Law Enforcement knife, the Ka-Bar TDI Last Ditch Knife, the Large Ka-Bar TDI knife. the Ka-Bar TDI/Hinderer Hellfire knife, and the Ka-Bar TDI Pocket Strike.
The original TDI is the GOAT.

I love the TDI investigator as a backup fixed blade, it’s size is perfect for a secondary knife alongside a bigger one. Think I’m gonna buy one of the larger TDIs next.

Got the Hellfire. Part of my 2blade edc. One folder, one fixed. Its just the right size for carrying, its fixed , and has a nice tanto tip. The lock mechanism is cool too. Got friends who like to TRY to pull my knives out to try and disarm me(fun and tactical purposes.) And its helped when someone trys to sneak up on you and try to pull what ever exposed tool on ones hip! Just food for thought. Cool vid!😎👍🏼👍🏼

The OG TDI is great. The TDI Investigator looks pretty good too, and has a good looking sheath, but I haven't gotten one yet. I'm sure I will eventually, but I'm trying to stop buying knives I don't need. 😂

I only have for now the Large versión and the investigador, and i think i like the Large a little bit More than the other one only because I find It confortable, and really cool for utility and defense, and More blade means More reach and More edge to work, but thats my thoughts. I'm thinking of buying the Hinderer only because of the Better quality steel, or the original, but I don't know

The TDI is made with AUS 8a stainless steel, so it should be fine around water if you keep it clean. (Salt water will still rust it pretty quick, though, so maybe not best for the ocean) They are available from a lot of places online, but Amazon and Blade HQ had the lowest price when I did a quick search around. www.bladehq.com/item--KaBar-Small-TDI-Law--6468

Never owned any before and trying to decide which is best for self defense. So what makes you say the original is best?

I think it is the most comfortable to carry, and is a very intuitive knife to hold and use. It is sort of a Goldilocks thing, it's not too big, not too small, it is just right.

Do you have any thoughts on the Ka-Bar TDI Investigator? Do you think it wouldn't be any better than the original TDI?

I don't have an Investigator, although if I get another TDI, that will definitely be the next one. It looks like it has a MUCH better sheath design than the original, which is great. The handle is smaller which might be more comfortable to carry, but I would like to try it out. I really like the handle on the original.

I may pull a knife like that to fight a dog or other beyond reason violent animal whos (hopefully just aggressive not rabies) and wants to rip into me. My first choice is a walking stick honestly for obvious reason. Humans are a big nope; not trained and thats expensive and real trainers are selective.

By any chance is there another sheath I can buy for the TDI large knife because I just don’t like the sheath that comes with the knife.
