You were born 3 or 4 thousand years to late. I really like that Clovis point .

I often feel the same way, that Clovis is a real favorite of mine, I don't make many of those and this one came out just the way I had hoped it would.

I really enjoyed looking at your beautiful work Ken! That gray Graham Cave is one of my favorites. Of coarse it is second to the Snyders that sits in my case! I still enjoy it and the knife that you made!!

Thanks Shawn, I love watching your videos and in my mancave I have a note that you wrote to me when you sent me a bunch of obsidian to knap. I have it proudly displayed and I even still have a nice piece of Burns green obsidian that you sent. I'd love to meet you one day if you ever make it out my way. Thanks so much for your comments and for all the awesome videos that you produce!

Awesome collection! We have alot of Onondaga and normanskill in NEPA. I was able to figure that out from watching one of ur vids. Showing how the limestone leeches out.

Flintridge material is just gorgeous in my opinion. I don't have any whole artifacts made of it, but I cherish all of the broken pieces, which are very few and far between. My brother found a nice chunk of it in a field along the Susquehanna River about 15 years ago. It was the first time I'd seen that material. Love the Susquehanna Broad .... that's a beauty. A lot of them down here in PA are made of rhyolite. Perkiomen points like that are found a lot in south central PA as well. Most of them that I have seen at artifact shows are made of jasper. Wow, just wow .... what can I say about Knife River flint! I have part of a knife that I found in eastern Montana made of it. It is one of my favorite lithics .... I just love that root beer color. Thanks for the vid Ken. I'm sure I've seen some of these points before, but a lot of water has flowed under the bridge, so it's nice to see them all again. Take care as always✌🏻

I can't remember how many points I sent to you but I do remember sending a couple with long needle tips. That point you found is still one of the greatest finds I've ever seen. Thanks for chiming in my friend, I think of you often.

All beautiful and very well made pieces sir. I would love to get a point made by you to use for Mushroom hunting, not from your keepers of course. Idk if you even make knives from your points. But a sweet Snyder knife would be awesome. Or even a Hardin knife. Your work is absolutely amazing , i love your points and would love to own one. My favorite from your keepers case would have to be the huge etley.

Very impressive! Have you ever dreamed of being teleported back in time 7000 years to compare notes?
@Paleoman52 Жыл бұрын
I have that dream all the time, especially when I am out on a field searching for artifacts. Sometimes I stop and look around me and try to picture what this place looked like when those early people lived here. The sights and the sounds must have been amazing. I figure that I would have a job back then seeing that I am a knapper, LOL!

Yes, but not as much as I used to knap. I have made a few keeper case worthy points this year.
@OntheTrailwithDale Жыл бұрын
Very impressive Ken. Absolutely love the flaking and how paper thin you got those points. When you’re knapping do you ever find it hard to know when a point is done? If I could knap as good as you I’d be just one more flake, just one more flake. The points I got from you are front and center on my shelf and I look at them often. Thanks again Ken, I’ve really enjoyed your videos and friendship over the years. Enjoy this unusual winter weather while you can man! Take care
