@ Yeah, looks it Mark.🥶🤬 We’ve had the cold temps -7 / -8 etc, but managed to avoid the snow thankfully. As you say tho, by tomorrow we have to be back to 11 deg.C during the day… 👍🏼

I'm in northeast pond temp is 1.2 no heating a few years ago it was a lot worse,pond was virtually frozen over only a hole about 2ft enjoying your video's.

@georgemetcalf9647 Thanks Man I think I've learnt now that if you are going to keep them unheated then the best you can do for them is ensure that they drop down in temperature really slowly like over a few weeks. That's what happened up here. In around 2010 I think we had a really bad winter I lost a lot of expensive Japanese Koi. That just went belly up overnight with the cold so it always concern me every year when it is bad. Back then I didn't cover over and just kept everything running so I was just super cooling the water to a point that the koi just gave up. I learnt that lesson the hard way.

I’m in the states and it’s not as cold here as your are. Brrrrrrr My pond is heated to 18C at the moment and covered.
