The only thing that works to tackle tinnitus is.... Time. Only with time you get used to it and you even forget about it (even if you think is impossible). It becomes like your new silence. The fuckd part is when the tinnitus changes or varies, because then you have to get used to the new sound and sometimes it can be worse. Now I dont think that much about my tinnitus, because I have work to do to not die xd.

For the first time ever a mechine has been improved to help with tinnitus noise called Lenire device Also hearing aids help. For quick relief taking a shower helps.

Yeah, tinnitus sucks. I was granted the blessing of loud fricken noises for 15 hours a day with the stereo on 130 over 100 volume for every day when I was 4 - 9. Now I have permanent damage to my ears. Both ruptured and irreversible tinnitus (I was told by my doctor that it looks like it could have been fixed if they caught it early on) now I hear it constantly. I don't want people to hear it like I do, it's as loud as someone mowing their lawn next door, and their right by your window. This comic so far relates tinnitus pretty well. So I'm gonna have to get back into the artists comics.

Reminds me of my first tinnitus experience from when I was 12 years old, I didn't sleep right for at least 2 weeks and my whole family thought I was overreacting, except for my sister who experienced it similarly

tinnitus is a very harsh thing, i believe there are some places to donate to research ways of both coping with it as well as improving the health of people who have it.
